Trivia Question: What NBA coaching experience does Donnie Walsh have?
Answer: After serving as an assistant coach for 12 seasons at the University of South Carolina, Walsh was hired as an assistant with the Denver Nuggets by former college teammate and future Pacers coach Larry Brown. Brown resigned as coach in the middle of the 1978-79 season and although he had no aspirations to be a head coach Walsh agreed to take the helm. He remained until after the 1979-80 season, being replaced with Doug Moe in 1980. In 1984, he became an assistant coach with the Indiana Pacers. He later took a position as general manager with the Pacers, was eventually promoted to the position of CEO and president and held that position until shortly before the end of the 200708 season.

We should have a real height advantage today. On Pacers.com, it said that JOB might not go with this lineup because of the uptempo offense that the Knicks run and not start Roy. Nevertheless, we should be able to out-rebound the Knicks

A great day for Indy sports no matter what the outcome of this game(though I just have a good feeling the P's won't lose).

Reminder, this game is on NBA-TV. This will be a fun game to watch. I think that both teams will total more then a combined 240+ points.

What's the over/under for the # of minutes Hibbert plays? I'm guessing that he will play 10 minutes on 2 fouls. We'll go Small Ball and JO'B will be playing DOWN to the D'Antoni Knicks in MSG. I know that we will lose if we do that.....we're good at playing Small Ball....but not as good as the Knicks are at playing D'Antoni ball.

Also, I would hope that McRoberts will get some burn as well as I suspect that Rasho and Foster will be burnt out by the start of the 4th QTR.

I agree, but try telling JOB that .. :(:(

Hopefully he will recognize it and exploit it ..

I forsee this looking like the Golden State game , with no D being played, with it being an all out run and gun fest ...

This game is gonna come down to who is the better coach ....

I sure hope our guys can play a good game though ... I think we have alot better players than the Knicks ..

We are gonna need fresh legs all throughout this game, and actually play Defense to win .. Because clearly D'Antoni is the better coach for the run and gun offense ..

Well thats what an NBA coach has to do. If you see that your team can take an advantage you take it. By playing Hibbert and Murphy (2 7 footers) you have a HUGE height advantage, you take it and punish the opposing team. You cannot help the other team (NY) but playing to their size when its not needed....they should adjust to our game

His page on NBA.com has him 1 inch under 7 feet http://www.nba.com/playerfile/troy_murphy/index.html

Corey Brewer is "listed" at 6'9". He measured out at 6' 7.75".

Thaddeus Young is "listed" at 6'8". He measured out at 6'5.5".

Jason Collins said himself that he's under 6'9", but (back in college) he told the Stanford media guide that he wanted to be listed at 7 feet. He's been "7 feet" ever since, and it's carried over into the NBA.

There's often a big difference between measured heights and these "listed" heights. I tend to go with how people actually measure out.

Right on man , it is the small local independant record label I helped found , and am a part of ..

We are called 3rd Shift Entertainment or 3SE for short...

I know alot of the old timers around here don't like that "rap crap" as it is often called heh .. But we specialize in horror based music .. and are actually a fairly known label with a solid fanbase in the underground music and horror scene ..

Yea, thats pretty bad.

I'm pretty convinced O'Brien and Bird decided to tank. Every single time a player gets hot, they get subbed out. I've been complaining about it all season, tanking would be the only explanation.

Murphy playin C/PF with 18.24 minutes 1-7 fg 1-3 3pt 9 reb 4 assists 3 steals 3 TO and

yet Hibby get's 6.30 minutes , has 4-4 FG 2 Reb 1 Block and 8 points scored ...

Hibbert must be playing too good to stay on the floor. Translated to 40 minutes, here are his first half numbers:

32-32 from the floor, 100% FG%, 64 points, 16 boards and 8 blocks...but 8 fouls...oops.

I seriously doubt there is any legitimate reason he was sent to the bench. I cannot believe JOb wants to win ball games when he does this. I don't care what the Knicks were doing to exploit him. 100% from the floor is hard to beat.

I don't agree with that. Jack is playing too well to sit and he shouldn't be playing SG. My ideal lineup right now would be Jack, Rush, Granger, Murphy, and Hibbert. This of all games is the perfect game for Hibbert to close the game, he could clog the paint and be a force offensively. I realize that won't happen, but it would be the logical thing to do.
