View Full Version : What players in the draft could start for us?

I was wondering, even if we move up in the draft, who do you think is really able to come in and start or play a significant role on this team? This is based upon the idea that we lose Al for a high pick.

In my opinion, the only players with the combination of skill, physical ability and who are mentally ready to play would be the following;
Okafur PF/C
Gordon SG/PG

Perhaps these guys as well by mid season;
Howard PF/C
Childress SF
Luke Jackson SF/SG
David Harrison C (attitude is a question)
D. Harris PG

Would any of these players have helped us get past Detroit?

I wish I knew. I really don't follow college basketball seriously, so I know next to nothing about any of these guys, except from what I'll hear from other people.

well i think there are a bunch of guys that are ready to contribute rite away. But those that are able to start on this pacers team as it stands right now? i would say only okafor, if you thought he could play center.

childress, gordon, harris, jackson, howard, livingston and MAYBE deng and snyder off the top of my head would be able to contribute.

unless im missing someone, i think everyone else would ride the pine for indiana.

I was high on Gordon until I found out he was 6'2". :unimpressed:

I'd say, Okafor, and that's it. Howard might become all that, but when it comes to HS'ers, we've been there, done that. No thanks.

Snyder could start at SG.

No way.

He's not a better player than Freddie.
