MINNEAPOLIS - The Minnesota Timberwolves waived forward Chris Richard, guard Blake Ahearn and centre David Harrison before Thursday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Richard, the team's second round pick in 2007, appeared in 52 games last season and averaged 11.6 minutes. Richard and current Timberwolves swingman Corey Brewer helped lead the Florida Gators to back-to-back NCAA titles in 2005-06 and '06-07.

Ahearn lost a battle for the team's final guard spot to Kevin Ollie, and Harrison missed all of the pre-season with a calf injury.

What a sad ending to a sad use of a really talented body.

Hulk went to my nephew's private school in Nashville, TN. He had everything handed to him on a platter and squandered it.

Maybe someone else will pick him up.

I don't believe there was a doubt this was coming when he never did anything in pre-season except be injured.

I'm not trying to be blunt, but maybe he can roll over to Europe, he can weed his way through all of the offers, even though he's a Joker and the situation could be sticky. What's he worth over there, if he shows some sense, a mil lion? (sp?) I fear he's just a chronic head case who can only give token effort. I'm just getting over the burn, one day at a time, I guess.

I'm here all season, don't forget to tip your waiters and waitresses.

Nicely done.

You're saying he's a budding talent that knows how to take a hit?

Perhaps the Liaoning Hunters (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liaoning_Hunters) (Chinese CBA) will get their man after all!

Guess he'll just have to pursue his acting career instead.

harrison is a bum. bad attitude and despite rarely seeing the court, gets hurt all the time.
this could be the end of the line for this guy.
wouldn't bother me a bit. he had plenty of time to make adjustments and improvements while he was here for 4 years and besides trimming the baby fat, he did nothing. never improved his temper/attitude, never realized that it was HE who needed to adjust to the way the refs call the game but instead felt they needed to adjust to him. you have probably heard hibbert say how much he appreciates how foster and the other bigs have been helping him- it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if foster tried to help dave but it went in one ear and out the other.
man, i am soooo glad we didn't waste another day on him.

What a breath of fresh air it is to see all the bad seed off the Pacers team. Players who
were not dedicated to their craft. One more to go and the Pacers house will be clean.

We could use grey beard. Mutombo is still playing and is 3 years older. He could probably teach Hibbert a few tricks...
