Pending another trade, here's where we're at.

Rasho / Hibbert / McBob
Murphy / Foster / Baston
Granger / Marquis / Graham
Dunleavy / Rush
Ford / Jack / Diener / Tinsley

Is this the team we start the season with? The top 10 players are probably set, at the very least.

McRoberts at Center? I bet Foster starts too. I think its more like

Foster / Rasho / Hibbert
Murphy / Baston / McRoberts
Granger / Daniels / Graham
Dunleavy / Rush
Ford / Jack / Diener / Tinsley

I hope Graham gets playing time. He's never disappointed me last year

I'm glad McRoberts made it. I thought he showed promise last year in Portland, there just wasn't room for him.

I'm glad McBob made it too. As a previous poster said, we already have a "Croshere" we are paying out the nose for in Murphy. If we had a player just like Baston paid 8-10M year, certainly Baston would be gone. I think this was more about keeping a balanced roster than anything. Croshere, Baston and Graham are very different players, but not that different in terms of market value or overall ability.

I think to determine who comes off the bench first, it would depend on who on the floor needs to come off. If:

Ford need to come off, Jack will come on
Granger/Dunleavy need to come off, Daniels will come on
Rasho/Murphy need to come off, Foster will come on

I agree with these two posts.

I'm glad McRoberts made the team as well. I know some posters knew him in HS and he was a cocky jerk or whatever, but that was 3-4+ years ago. I'm ready to give him a chance and for him to show us what he can do.

I think there's a decent chance McRoberts gets sent to Ft. Wayne to the D-League this season. Ft. Wayne is only a few hrs away and it would give him a chance to see a lot of PT and still be relatively close to Indy.

A lot of people forget that McRoberts was a projected top 10 lottery pick coming out of HS. He played a little out of position at both Duke and in Portland and could be a nice player to add to the TJ, Jack, Rush, Granger, HIbbert, etc. nucleus.

Agreed. Seems pretty obvious actually. Jack can work some PG or SG so he covers two situations and Foster is the same with C/PF.

My concern is that Dunleavy is going to be hurting for many early games this year. I'm assuming Quis gets the SG spot rather than forcing Rush to start so soon.

At least Quis doesn't have to work PG this year.

I had no feelings about McBob prior to camp, but after seeing some of his effort I'm glad he's getting a shot and I hope he can be productive in some PF minutes when he gets the chance. Could be interesting to watch develop.

I like the Pacers second 5 quite a bit. When you can bring Foster, a healthy Daniels and Jack off the bench along with the two rookies - you have a pretty deep team. In fact I would not be surprised to see parts of the second 5 finish games even when there aren't injuries to any of the first 5. Especially would expect Jeff and maybe Roy to finish a lot of games

It's the same structure as you'd (generally) see in a scorebook. I used to put the Small Forward 1st, the PG last, the Center in the middle.

EDIT: I may not have put the PG last. It may have gone

SF
PF
C
PG
SG

but the F's were first, the C in the Center, and the G's last.

It will be interesting to see if our rookies Hibbert/Rush play in the final 6 minutes of close games early on in the season. You can factor in a lot of variables fouls/injury/ejections but I would really like to see them b/c they both play excellent defense.

And still Tinsley lingers like a bad case of mono.
