Do not go in there.

Has anyone really explored all of Btown's basement? I shudder to think what else is down there that we don't know of

While this may be slightly off topic, the question of haunted houses brought
to mind "The House of Blue Lights" which used to be located on Indy's far
NE side, which some thought to be really haunted. I had never seen the
place, but have heard several creepy stories about it over the years; most
of them probably made up.

Was surprised to find an entry in Wikipedia about it:

As for current "haunted" houses open to the public, try checking out the
Indianapolis Childrens Museum. It looks like they have some sort of special
event going on called the "Eerie Express" which you can visit several
haunted houses.

It's really scary now

Skiles Test Nature Park, sometimes called Skiles Test Natue Area is an east side Indianapolis park on land bequeathed by [eccentric Indianapolis millionaire] Skiles Edward Test, on which once sat the supposed haunted house, The House of Blue Lights (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_House_of_Blue_Lights).

In the 1990s, the park became the subject of controversy because it was being used as a tea room by local gay men, often in the sight of children. A teacher from New Castle, Indiana (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Castle,_Indiana) was caught exposing himself to a student and arrested in 2004.

I still think y'all should check out Evil Dead: The Musical while it's in town. I know I will.

Only one I've been to this year so far is Hanna Haunted Acres, which was pretty good, but I haven't done the two scariest sections yet (next weekend!), so those could be outstanding. I used to work at Fright Manor, and they always put on a solid effort.

There's a haunted house in Greenwood called The Asylum House that looks pretty darn scary. Their website is: http://www.theasylumhouse.com/home.htm
