According to the Kravitz and Eddie show, the Pacers will have TWO announcements to make at 5:30 this evening.

Speculate away!

Trade Tinsley and we don't need an image consultant.

We need some marketing people, but (as the psychic in Poltergeist said assuredly)

THIS HOUSE IS CLEAN!

Of course the psychic in Poltergeist said that just before the corpses started popping up through the floorboards.

There has to be an announcement for the PR Image consultant?

Maybe...maybe not...but I remember a few years ago on RATS during the brawl season it was announced that the Pacers were going to have a major announcement later that day. Everyone was speculating that the Pacers were going to trade Artest or some other major move. I posted that they were probably going to announce that Artest's lost salary was going to local charity. I was told how stupid that idea was from more than a few. Later that day the Pacers major announcement....Artest salary was going to local charities.

I hope you are right but I won't be surprised.

2. Announce the hiring of Calvin Hill

That's my guess. It'd be so much more fun if it involved Tinsley leaving, though. [/dream]

The Pacers made a second move Friday, extending the contract of veteran center Jeff Foster, who was entering the final season of his deal.

I don't see that on the site.

The thin ice broke. Shawne Williams, the troubled talent described by team President Larry Bird as "on thin ice" during the offseason, was traded to Dallas Friday for veteran Eddie Jones, two future second-round picks and cash.

Grant Hill's dad.

Well, he's a little more than Grant Hill's dad. He was an All-Pro running back with the Dallas Cowboys coming out of Yale. Super Bowl Championship team member. Worked in the front office of the Baltimore Orioles when they were actually good.

I'm still not certain why he was hired though.

Or he's still Larry's guy and is willing to throw himself under the bus just to prop Larry Joe up. :zip:
