That's easy.

Hannah Storm's (NBC Showtime, now CBS This Morning) father.

Okay, there are at least two other correct answers.

Mike Storen founded the ABA Pacers in 1967 , He was the VP and GM of the Pacers.

He was also the ABA commissioner

Not the founder, may have been involved but not the founder. Somebody pull the book please, I don't think he was our 1st GM. Certainly one of the earliest, but I don't think the 1st.
What I was going for have all been mentioned
1) Early (1st?) pacer GM
2) ABA COmmisioner
3) Father of Hanna Storm

I'll expand the question a bit.

What noted player was drafted and signed by the Pacers causing the older NBA to question the legality of his signing. Who ws the player and what spurred the questioning? (He was signed by Storen)

Thanks SM, I was going strictly from memory and didn't anticipate the Founder comment. Dick Tinkham and TOm Binford are generally who are mentioned as founders. and now I've read your link and see the 1st GM reference. I know who I thought it wsa but I was obviously wrong there...bad memory.

SO who was the player and what about his signing caused the Legal questioning.

Not what I'm thinking of. Remember, I said the player was DRAFTED (out of college) and signed by the P's.

(Hint...he came from a Big Ten school)

ahhh..must think harder , I was thinking of Roger Brown because I know he was banned from playing in the NBA
