Here is a screenshot of the compiled NBA2k9 ratings for all PGs.

As you can tell, Tinsley is still on the list. In NBA2k9 world......where Team Chemistry and PR issues are non-existent....we have a very solid 3 PG rotation of Ford, Tinsley and Jack.

Even Travis Diener is rated well. 88 Mid-range jumper? 88 Pass? Diener has come a long way...

Yeah, once again Maceo Baston doesn't exist. This is embarassing IMO. 2K has failed to have him in the game for three years straight.

The detailed SG ratings are now out:

Woah! I just looked at it and they rate Kobe as an unprecedented 101 overall!

He must have bought them a huge diamond ring too.

Second line.

these ratings will disappear by december.

101 for Kobe?

Is the scale 110?

I think it's still technically 99 for individual ratings, but when a guy already reaches what it takes to earn a 99 overall, but then has yet better stats than needed to do that, it makes sense to fudge the system to give him a more true rating.

then by there is no system just like this sentence has no punctuation

I guess Dunleavy is still a SF.

I guess Dunleavy is still a SF.

Of course he is. We start two SFs and ask one of them to guard a SG every night. I can't imagine why we struggle defensively.

I know these ratings have never been percentages but to me 100 is perfect, which no player is or ever can be. Every player has flaws. So by my thought process, 99 is as close to "perfect" as any player should ever be rated. If Kobe has surpassed the stats that rated him at 99, then the rest of the players need to be adjusted lower, and not kept the same with Kobe going higher. At 101, they are essentially saying that he is better than perfect.

Well, he'll probably be in the FA pool or something. I think the 2K developers had to pick 15 players to put on our roster and since Tinsley is still on there, they cut Baston, I guess.

Pfffft! Fart noises! Fart noises!

Pfffft!

Anyway, I wonder how well these stats stack up against the Live 09 stats.

GO!!!!!

does a 101 rating mean he can't miss a shot....

because like Travmil said, I allways had the understanding, now most likely incorrect that it was based somehow on a percentage..

That's just stupid. What's the point of having a scale if you're not going to adhere to it?

Geez.....they have Brandon's defensive rating at 68. He's a solid shooter at 83,83,87 ( Close, Med, 3pt ).

the 2K admins have denied the ratings reports. They said no player is above a 99.

it shows kobe as a 99 in the link that I gave.

Small Forward ratings are out:

http://www.sportsgamer.com/content/2240/nba-2k9-small-forward-ratings/

I hope these are true, though I'm still skeptical now that LeBron is also a 101 overall.

The reason? Danny Granger and Mike Dunleavy have a 3pt rating of 95 and 94, respectively.

I am not certain of past ratings but these are definately different than Live's past rankings.

I'm wondering how they found the actual number ratings since in the roster screens they are using letters now.

http://www.operationsports.com/images/u/media/1222005648-media.jpeg

We can confirm Danny and Mike are 85 and 80 overall, respectively. This is what the sportsgamer.com site stated, so maybe their ratings are correct.

Hicks

They didn't get rid of the numbers. They just put the letter grades first. The numbers are still accessible.

On 2k8 I traded Tinsley, Ike Diogu, and Jeff Foster for Paul Pierce..and the computer accepted it.

1) Wow.

2) Listening to a podcast interview with the 2k develops, it sounds like they've worked on making those kinds of trades highly improbable if not impossible.
