Thanks a bunch!

It looks like I am stuck watching the Jets vs Dolphins as well as the Falcons vs Detroit. At least I get the Dallas vs Cleveland game.

Wow, thanks for the link, I'm at work 'til 3:30, so this is fabulous.

Matt Cassel coming in!? So Brady is hurt...

The Brady injury is at least a bad hyperextension and possibly torn ligaments, looking at the replay. That was like the shot Carson Palmer took against the Steelers a couple of years back.

Let's hope he has very flexible & elastic ligaments

What the Rams @ Eagles is not a notable game? Yea your right as its already 14 to 0 at close to the end of the 1st.

Beautiful TD pass, Cassell to Moss.

Sorry about that. I'll try to get more games next week.

I hope Brady is OK and the injury isn't as bad as it seems.

Don't worry about it, just joking a bit.

Seriously, the Rams are bad. And who said we need a big time reciever? McNabb has nearly 300 passing yards and 3 tds already. 21-0 at the half.

any news on brady?

any news on brady?

Officially he is "questionable" to return today.

I'd be stunned if that happened. The next news is likely late tomorrow or Tuesday with MRI results.

Sucks that Brady is hurt. Hopefully it isn't anything that will keep him out more than a couple weeks.

DeSean Jackson for rookie of the year? I think so. 6 catches, 106 yards and over 90 yards on punt returns. He was so close to having one for a touchdown too.

Im really happy with the Eagles performance today. 38 to 0 with 10 mins left in the game

The irony of all this is that as soon as they take Brady off the injury report in years this happens.

Go figure.

Got the Dallas at Cleveland game on now, looks like this is going to be a good game. Browns just tied it up at 7. Go Browns!

Looks like Brady may be done for the year.

Yahoo Sports' Michael Silver says Tom Brady is expected to miss the rest of the season with ligament damage in his knee.
Two sources tell Silver that Brady has a "severe" knee injury that "could" include a torn ACL and perhaps other ligament and cartilage damage. "It’s bad," a team source said told Silver. "We’re going to have to play without him." Silver is one of the best NFL reporters alive, and you have to trust him here. Fantasy owners should not make a move with Brady until it's confirmed elsewhere though. Obviously, it's devastating news for the entire Patriots offense.

It is very unfortunate for both Pats fans and the NFL. I don't see the us making the playoffs this year if he is done..even with our weak schedule.

Moses, I really am sorry for you and the rest of Patriot Nation. I'd rather lose to you 35-34 with Brady than cream you 34-0 without him (not saying that will happen). I'd just rather play the actual competition and uphold the integrity of the rivalry.

Do you think the Pats will sign Culpepper or something or stick with Cassel?

the smart thing to do would be...having Cassel start since he knows the system if they sign a new guy even if its a vet there is no way they can learn that playbook/system in a week's time.

How long will Brady be out ?

With a torn ACL, he is done for the year + playoffs.

Culpepper recently retired so I doubt he is an option. At the end of the day, no matter who we sign..I don't think it will matter. Whether it is Cassel, Culpepper, or random unsigned QB scrub..none of them are Tom Brady or even close. It is more then just talent..Brady has so many intangibles. I am disappointed, but injuries happen, and Brady has been relatively healthy his entire career. I should be happy he hasn't been injured more. It will be very interesting to see how well the Pats do without him. I think best case scenario is 10-6, but that is being extremely generous even with our schedule.

I think winning the AFC East is still possible.

Beyond that, it's wishful thinking.

But it would be only slightly more surprising than the first championship over the Rams.

This team, minus the QB, is better but that factor ("minus the QB") is one heck of a qualifier

I love that Cowher declared in the CBS post game show (at least the Steelers-Texans post game show, I don't care about any of the other games this weekend) that the Bills are now the team to beat in the AFC East. Boomer didn't like that comment, since Farve is with the Jets. I think that was Cowher's point in the first place.

No useful opinion on the beloved black-and-gold yet. The opponent (Texans) looked to be at about week #2 of training camp. Presumably they'll hit harder and have better timing as the season progresses.

Hopefully the Steelers can also hit harder against their better caliber opponents. They certainly won both lines-of-scrimmage today.

This year's Pats - Colts game won't be the same..... :(
