Damn, I'd love to see some of those bands. I used to listen to the Why store way back when I lived in Indy. Glad to see they are still around.

The lead singer, Chris, went solo but they still do play some events together ie Slipper Noodle Inn b/f Colts games & Rib Fest.

It does seem that would make one heck of a Senior Citizen tour. The Mrs. and I have been on that roll lately, but hey were getting old. Saw REO Speedwagon last month, will be checking out Styx this coming Thursday, and just bought tickets for Foreigner in October. Got to love those 1,500 seat theaters shows.

Dennis DeYoung did very well last night. Nothing special but it was nice to hear the songs actually sound like they are supposed to.

Thanks much! Just seems like Shannon Hoon had one of those voices that would be difficult if not impossible to replace, almost like if Eddie Vedder died and Pearl Jam replaced him with some other guy.

I really wanted to see Jonny Lang tonight. He by far is my favorite out of that band list. Unfortunately, we had to see the fireworks instead Saturday night...

Blind Melon was very Excellent. I like Johnny Lang but Darren Trucks is way better.

I was out of town but I wish I'd had the chance to see the new version of Melon. I saw them at the Vogue years ago, damn shame to lose him so young.

My feelings on old bands are the same as on guys like Sinatra, Elvis, Bruce, etc. You sing/play songs, those songs are good, you can still make them sound like that...why TF shouldn't you keep touring and playing?

I get that it's not hip, but the kids will understand when they see AFI in concert 20 years from now (with a new lead singer like most bands ;) ).

Did Journey get away with it?

Clearly, Paul Rodgers is all right now, but he's no Mercury.
