View Full Version : No Draft Choices Signed to Colts

I know he is probably just moving into hardball mode, but here we are two days removed from Terre Haute and have zero of this year's picks signed. Polian's comments seemed a bit harsh today. Lets just hope it is all hugs and lollipops a few days from now:
"We haven't made any progress. None," Polian said. "If they come in, they come in. If they don't, they don't.
"We'll play with the guys who are there. If these players don't want to sign because the union thinks our offers are too low or the agents are afraid to sign or whatever other excuses they use, it doesn't matter to me. I could care less."

This gets really old, seeing it happen every damn season.
Polian's right. Let them sit out. They're only hurting themselves.

They'll sign, it happens every year on most teams.

Tamme is also now signed. His agent probably saw that the Colts were gonna have a spot open at TE and his client better beat the other TE they drafted into camp.

Colts sign TE Tamme as camp nears
By Mike Chappell
The Indianapolis Colts have agreed to contract terms with tight end Jacob Tamme, their fourth-round draft pick.
Details of the deal were not immediately available.
Tamme joins wide receiver Pierre Garcon, a sixth-round selection, as the only members of the team’s nine-player draft class to sign.
The Colts report to Terre Haute on Thursday for the start of training camp, and only players under contract are allowed to report.
Tamme is expected to compete with sixth-round pick Tom Santi for playing time alongside veteran Dallas Clark in the Colts’ two-tight end formation.

Apparently all but Phillip Wheeler and Jamey Richard are signed now.

Everyone in now. Except Santi, but that may be due to him starting on the PUP with a bursa sac injury. We may lead the league in players having that specific injury: http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080724/SPORTS03/807240419/1058/SPORTS03
