Okay, so my girlfriend and I are celebrating 5 years coming up soon. I plan on taking her out downtown indy for a nice night. What are the best restaurants in indy? any favorites? ( we are both under 21, and she's a vegetarian). I don't get out to indy except for pacers games and the occasional colts game. I usually just go to hard rock cafe or the spaghetti factory. I'm trying to find someplace a bit nicer than that. I need some help!

What is your price range. If you really want to impress her - go to the Scholars Inn

I was going to suggest St. Elmo's, but since she's a vegetarian it hardly seems worth it.

Too bad there's not a Cheesecake Factory downtown.

It's awesome, the greatest thing ever and looks good on my TV........

Under 21 and celebrating 5 years.

Wow. That's something.

I highly recommend the roof top Shelby St Cafe in Fountain Square. Not expensive, really a unique selection of food, and a great view!

Is she a vegatarian that eats fish? I hear great things about the Oceanaire. Since you do Italian, ever try Buca Di Beppo's? It's my favorite chain restaraunt aside from The Cheesecake Factory.

I don't like Buca di Beppo's sauce.

I haven't actually eaten at the restaurant, just been to the hotel a bunch, but I always thought that the Eagle's Nest at the top of the Hyatt downtown would be a romantic setting for a date since it overlooks the city. Someone that's actually eaten there might be able to give better input on the place though. Again, I just thought it seemed like a romantic setting.
