1) The Cause of Death -- Immortal Technique

5) Land of the Gun -- Immortal Technique feat. Breez Evahflowin

41) Angels of Death -- Outerspace feat. Immortal Technique

These all could have made mine. I was actually trying to make an effort to not duplicate artists unless necessary, even though there are about five each Nas, Rakim, Biggie and Jay (Brooklyn's Finest helped keep down the repetition at least ;)). And, believe it or not, I was tryna keep the Primo tracks to a bare minimum, despite the fact that there are probably at least a dozen there.

Immortal Technique - are they the guys who do that song The Fourth Branch?

One guy...but yes.

Yeah, well **** the guy should make it more obvious. Name himself Sting or Bono or something. Supertramp. Easy. Anyways, it's a good song. (not that you need me to tell ya) I heard it on DN!

Your whole damn list is dudes from NYC.

However - as expected - great choices.

If Cali would ever get a lyricist, I might start listening. And come on, at least five of those are dudes from Philly.

Vinnie Paz is the only MC from Philly I care about.

And Zion aka Baba Zumbi from Zion I is a lyricist from Cali. You should check out Zion I.

Been meaning to for a while.

Do it. Check out Mind Over Matter first and if you like it, you should enjoy most of their work. They slipped into hyphy for a couple years so you'd probably want to avoid anything after 2004.

As further pressure to check out Zion I, my brother (a former trance producer whose work is on iTunes) loves them and just jacked 10 songs from me.

JR -- no excuses.

And where are the lists at? Step it up, PD kinfolk.

The comment is ignorant, and stereotypical because most of the MC's listed don't even do gangsta rap. Why don't you try picking up a Roots album?

BTW, a lot of gangsters loved Sinatra.
