Mark Boyle and Dan Dakich will be filling in on 1070TheFan for White
and Kravitz on their radio gig at 3:00 est today. I'm pretty sure
you can listen live on their website and/or they should have a
podcast posted this evening.

This should be a fun listen. Two guys that I really like, but totally different speaking styles.

Remember when Mark had a radio show a few years back, and he always had to play his daily Sinatra song?

Kravitz is somewhere on the Jersey shore with his in-laws and Eddie is taking his family to the MLB All Star game/Home Run derby.............

They were very good. Of course afternoon sports talk in Indy hasn't been the same since Mark and Tim and Young Brad left the airwaves.....

Here's a link for Mark:

It's also available as an instant play on Netflix. Stefan Fatsis makes his first appearance about 5 minutes in....

Accordingly, the action of receiving a degree should be expressed in the passive, as in She was graduated from Yale in 1998. This use is still current, if old-fashioned, and is acceptable to 78 percent of the Usage Panel. In general usage, however, it has largely yielded to the much more recent active pattern (first attested in 1807): She graduated from Yale in 1998.

Another excellent show yesterday.

I did not know that Mark dominated the 70's in Minneapolis......

Some good stuff on the show again today. Too bad I didn't have tape rolling.

Mark ripped Isiah (selfish, narcissistic). Mentioned that he likes Jamaal, but his time is over here. They were going to play JOB's walk to Kokomo comments, but I didn't hear Mark's comments on it.

Dan mentioned one of the best talks he had ever seen given to kids by any player/coach ,etc. was Ron Artest. Mark went on to say how he'd never seen any player better with kids (read to achieve, etc.) during his years with the Pacers than Ronnie Artest.

It's too bad the Diva and Shoe Boy will return Monday. Mark and Dan have been very good together.

Yup, very entertaining all week. Gonna miss listening to those two.
And I'm seemingly one of the few who actually enjoy White and
Kravitz more often than not.

I liked it when Mark said Artest was enthusiastic about the Read to Achieve program and seemed willing to stay even longer than he was required to, then added, "But I don't know if he did stay longer than he had to...because I never stayed longer than I had to."

I don't want to come off as a Kravitz and Eddie basher. I like their show. I've just enjoyed Mark and Dan's show more. They've made me laugh out loud on more than one occasion this week.

Plus, I grew up listening to Mark Boyle......

You're trying to convince us that you've grown up? Come on now!

I like Kravitz & Eddie too. I have really enjoyed listened to Mark & Dan, as well.

I like Kravitz, but Eddie wears me out. My ideal pairing would be Boyle and Kravitz.

Well, Friday's show with Mark & Dan was a fitting one for their last. Another very entertaining show, complete with a couple of signature items from Mark's past radio show (Sinatra music and a "quick trigger finger" on the disconnect for boring callers.).

They did say that the off-air exchanges were more entertaining than the on-air chatter, but Dan surmised that if they were to have aired that part, the FCC might have pulled the plug on them quickly.

They had some interesting talk from Ted Kitchel and Steve Green.

Mark did share (with some prodding) that Dun had defeated him in a scrabble match. He seemed stunned by that.

I really liked the chemistry they had as the week went on. They should do this again, should the opportunity arise.

Kudos, guys!

okay I listened to these guys every day this week on my drive home, a 25 minute drive, and for several days out of the week they have talked about movies. BORING! And several times they have talked about high school basketball coaches from some school out in the boonies 30 years ago. BORING! Then the rest is nothing but self deprecating dry humor.

The only highlight was Dan talking about his lock down defense on Jordan.

I actually had to turn it to those 2 turds on 950 who seemingly tend to agree on everything they say even if its a direct contradiction. And JMV who is decent but tends to repeat every news story in own JMVness. "I mean come on, when you're a dude who goes out and does blah blah blah...you can't go do this and that....what were you thinking." Then he repeats the story again only shorter with a different punch line at the end. Or tries to disqualify his own statement by beginning each of his opinions or rants with "I'm not going to be the homer" or "I'm not here to offend anybody, but" as if he is the everyman sportsguy.

Please bring back Kravitz and Eddy. ASAP.

Eddie is almost unlistenable to on streaming. You have to keep adjusting the volume.

Wasn't that into them honestly. I was listening to Chris Hagen filling in for JMV, who was surpisingly pretty good. I wish Hagen would do the show with JMV full time, because it is true that JMV gets repetitive at times.

I think Kravits is pretty good on the radio but I can only take so much Eddie White. Guy can be really annoying.
