The New Jersey Nets have reached agreements in principle with free agent forward Eduardo Najera and guard/forward Jarvis Hayes, Nets President Rod Thorn announced today. Per team policy, terms of the agreements were not released. The agreements are contingent on the passing of the required physicals by both players. “We are very pleased to add two veterans like Eduardo and Jarvis to our roster,” said Thorn. “Both are solid, competitive NBA players who will add versatility and depth to both our frontcourt and backcourt rotations.”

Could this mean that Kristic is now available?

Players like Najera are taking our jobs.

I like Najera. I was actually hoping, although I knew it was unlikely, the Pacers could sign him.

I like what the Nets are doing as of late. They are doing a nice job of re-building.

I know Kareem was a Nets target. This means he won't be going there and I don't know how many more teams are interested.

The Spurs were looking for a shooter but they got Roger Mason. The Rockets got Barry.

Maybe Bird keeps Kareem? I mean where else would he go?

LOL poor Kareem. I feel for dude. He actually played pretty decent last year, now his younger brother sends him back to Lithuania.

Kareem will be signed.

The Lakers, Spurs, Hornets, Magic, Celtics all could use him still. It's not like he is going to command big money.

I'd happy take back Kareem for the league min.

Hayes is a SF, isn't he? If so, then Kareem might still go there if both sides want that.

And people used to think that Peja photo (http://home.tiscali.nl/~miki/stojakovic/peja073.jpg) was bad.

I think they meant evil, not that it was poorly taken or anything.
