Would the Pacers go after him via a SnT?

i dont think we should. If he was on the Pacers, he would probably play PF and for a PF hes probably undersized compared to other PFs in the East (Bosh and Dwight for example). Also, his contract coming up is going to be HUGE and we're trying to keep cap size down. Theres no need. We can pick up a true PF for the same price of even cheaper. Landry should be looked at by the Pacers

Yea, as talented as J. Smith is, all I remember hearing last year was how he was a hot-head and how much trouble he was in the locker room. Assuming we're finally purging ourselves of Tinsley, I wouldn't really want to see a similar attitude injection into the team. I'd take a pass on him.

Josh is a PF. He's ineffective at SF.

He played KG better than anyone during the playoffs, which is was a major reason the Celts struggled against the Hawks in the first round. His defense is excellent and his offense is above average. He'd be a great addition to Pacers.

With that said, I don't think the Pacers have the pieces to pull off a S&T with the Hawks. We'd have to include either Murphy or Dunleavy as key pieces in any trade we make with them and no way do the Hawks have any need for them. If we could get a 3rd team involved we might be able to make something work but those types of trades are becoming very rare.

Dwight Howard is a Center. I think he'd do well as PF in this offense, and his shotblocking is excellent. With that being said, there are teams with much cap space who could just sign him outright. Don't think we'd have much of a shot at him.

Atlanta needs a Center and don't need Smith as Horford is their PF and Williams their SF, right?

I do like the idea of Landry... Smith does have issues.

Pacers don't have the leverage to force them into a S&T.

Dwight isnt a C, he plays C while Battie is injured. If Battie was healthy, Dwight would move to the PF position. If you aruge that Dwight is a C then you might as well argue that Rashard Lewis is a PF

Josh Smith is a good athlete overall, but as a basketball player, im sure we could find a better player to help us at the PF position than Josh Smith, especially considering the contract hes going to get

Dwight Howard is a center. He is bigger, stronger and players closer to the basket than Battie. Always has been.

Saying that Battie is the center and Howard is the PF is the equivalent of saying Fabricio Oberto is the center while Tim Duncan is the PF. It's a joke.

Who is better than Josh Smith that you are so sure that the Pacers can get (not that getting Smith would be easy either)? Any names?

And I learned yesterday that KG is a SF.

Thank you Agent Zero for that lesson.
