View Full Version : Should Pacers move up in the draft to get Kevin Martin?

I vote probably, it depends on how much we would have to trade,

I don't know how high we would have to trade up.

I've heard Boston likes him at 25 so if we wabt him bad enough we would probably have to trade higher than 25.

Nope, I'd just as soon trade out of this draft completely.

If we really want him, we could probably do something like we did to get Jeff Foster a few years back.

Trade #29 and a future pick for a pick where he'll still be available, or his rights if he's already been picked.

The ESPN mock drafts (3) I saw didn't even have him going in the first round. I'm sure some mock drafts have him in the first round but what I'm saying is there's a chance he will be there when we pick (if we pick). I agree with the above statement that this draft means nothing except if we can package the pick to Orlando for TMac!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm wary of counting on a rookie to get us over the hump. i would very much like to have kevin martin, but i would prefer to have him play behind a veteran (and i don't mean reggie).

so no, i wouldn't trade up for him. i'd rather use trade assets for a vet sg, and just trust to luck that we can draft someone useful.
