View Full Version : I'm a bit torn.

Minor debate that has been going on.

For the past few weeks, I've been debating on whether or not I want a name change. (I've already had the minor change from PaCeRs_GuRL to PaCeRs_GiRL, but I'm looking for a bigger change.)

I've long grown out of the alternating letters, but the name is just full of memores. I mean, I was PD's ROY and #1 Sunshiner with that name.

What do you all think?

If you're wanting something more mature sounding how about:
Ms_PaCeRs_GiRL :D

You could keep it, but have it changed to, "Pacers_Girl".

Why not just Girl, we know it'd be you. :whoknows:

You could always make it about a certain food that you find to be especially good. I've had good luck with that.

But really I suggest a random sliver of somebody's speech. Something like ButSoAnyway, or OnlyInsofarAs, or LikeThePlague, or something. That's what I would do, now, if I were set on changing my name.

I like taking away the alternating letters.

I agree with keeping the name just changing the letters. Is there any reason the L didn't alternate back down to lower case?

Good Idea. :)

Yes, but there's also an Indianapolis Girly now.

Not really a reason...I was just trying to decrease confusion. Sometimes the lowercase "L" can look like an uppercase "I". That's all..

317Kim or Pacers_Girl?

If I were going for a "drastic" name change, I'd go for 317Kim

Are you looking for drastic change? Or just some change?

btowncolt
07-01-2008, 12:16 PM
Yeah, you don't want people to not be able to identify you - and many of us have signatures turned off so we couldn't read a note there telling us about the change. I just recently realized that rcarey had changed his name.

Try something like "btowncoltisthebestpostereverunlikeGyron."

Do that, just keep the name and lose the underscore.

That's what I'm torn about. I'd be all for the drastic change, but I'm just attached to P_G because of the memories. On the other hand, I think I've outgrown that name.

BTW, If I did change my name, the announcement would be above the avatar and not in the sig.

Try out your new name... if you don't like it just switch back :).

There's this Hicks, ehh Leonidas, ehh Joker, ehh etc., dude in here I'm sure you met him he changed names pretty often, nothing wrong with it. Try it and see if you like it or keep a reference to who what your previous name was ;).

Invisible Girl had the same feelings. In the end she switched to Invisible Woman.

Much to quick. I didn't realize I had the name change until I checked back into this thread.

Thank you, Hicks.

317 pays homage not only to Reggie and Jermaine, but it's also my area code. I love Indianapolis. I love Indiana. I love Reggie and Jermaine.

It's all good. :grinyes:

Well, I just changed my avatar and signauture again for the 10th time this week.

Thank goodness we don't have to request that from the admins, they'd be swamped!

I was going to say MasterPGirl, then you could change it to just PGirl, then later just PG, then just G. A lil' hip hop flavor or whatever the kids call it. <space> Actually I think the original one is the best one PaCeRs_GiRL

317Kim
07-02-2008, 09:59 AM
Technically, the original was PaCeRs_GuRL, but I wasn't into the "U" after a year so I had it changed to an "I".

I miss the name, but I do feel slightly rejuvenated after the name change. I also thought that it was appropriate after my long hiatus.
