Glad to hear that.. I am a big fan of Parker.. Plus, any guy that can get Eva Longoria is amazing..haha

...but at the same time I have been seriously contemplating getting 2k instead of live.. The gameplay is better, but from last thing I knew, live had better graphics. (Garnett on 2k9)

EDIT: WOW, not so sure about the worse graphics on 2k.. Just saw a trailer, it looks awesome.

Geez...does anyone even play NBA Live anymore?

It's all about NBA 2K. NBA Live is like spin move or cross over to the basket every time and dunk over 3 people.

Thx for the insight.. I WILL get 2k :)

I got 2k7 for a change and noticed right away the gameplay was better, but also had some dislikes about some of it.. So went back to live last year..

Yeah no problem, I just find it more realistic.

hm...I thought he was only the cover in France. I guess they chose him to be the cover in the US. In Britain, they chose to use Luol Deng... I know he grew up there, but really?

EA wanted Tinsley for the cover, but he wouldn't fit.

Sad. I was really pushing for Danny.

I know, in my dreams.

I noticed that EA is going with this weird airbrushed, photoshopped, HDRish look with their covers now - I think it looks dumb, especially this Parker one.

I play Live 08 a LOT and I like it. There are some things I really hate about it though. I hate that players don't hustle after loose balls, and it's difficult to pick up a loose ball. I hate that players do these extravagant shots and put them into the back of the backboard. Sometimes my character just runs out of bounds on his own if I'm trying to do a go-to move or whatever.

But I still play it a ton and love it. I'm patiently waiting for 09.

Actually, EA chose Bayless but then traded him....

Will the EA bug strike Parker next season like Arenas got it this season? I know most of the time whenever somebody is on the cover of Madden they get injured that year.
CONSPIRACY???

I still play both NBA 2K and Live. They both have their pros and cons.

Not really. I mean, Parker is a good player, and PG's are more valuable than SFs, but pure talent wise, I think Granger and Parker are about on the same level. The Spurs being a more high profile team also has something to do with it.

I looked at the screenshots on NBA Live 09, and they fixed the "frankenstein" look each player had on their face. OMG, Dun Dun looked like something out of a horror movie last year.

Kudos, as always I'll be picking up my copy of Live 09 when it hits the shelves. (Unless a Pacers player is on the cover of 2K9 (longshot))

EDIT: Kevin Garnett is the cover athelete for NBA2K9.

Gives me another reason not to buy it. :D

There are 7-8 PG's that have more pure talent than Parker and I would say the same for Granger at his position. Parker is a great glue guy however, and he's just as notable for that as he is his talent.
