ok so we know we're gonna have cap space now. i was thinking, bosh will be a free agent in 2010. i saw some reports that ford was his favorite point guard and well, ford is a pacer now. maybe we can re-unite bosh and ford. this would fill that need at the 4. ford/rush/granger/bosh/hibbert. not that bad in the east. i know i'm thinking a little ahead...

We won't have enough cap space to sign Bosh without a sign and trade deal.

Pacers won't be as far under the cap as you may think. We'll still be paying:

-- Murphy 12 million
-- Dunleavy 10.5 million
-- Granger 10-12 million
-- Tinsley 7.5 million
-- Ford 8.5 million
-- Hibbert 2 million?
-- Rush 2.5 million?

That's about 54-55 million between 7 players. I'm guesing we'll move at least Tinsley and maybe someone else by that point, but don't get too caught up with the summer of 2010 like the Nets, Knicks, etc.

I don't think anybody's looking at that and thinking we'll get a superstar. Even signing a second-tier guy would be a big deal, really. Plus Tins/Dun/Troy all come off the cap the following year.
