I have to quote something I read on another site, I really think it fits.

"23 standup albums, 14 HBO specials, 16 movie appearances, 5 books, 50 years in the entertainment business, and universal respect from his peers. Good times."

"Frisbeetarianism is the belief that when you die, your soul goes up on the roof and gets stuck."

"When someone asks you, A penny for your thoughts, and you put your two cents in, what happens to the other penny? "

:( Sad day. He was by far my favorite comic. RIP George. :(

When I saw George's last HBO special I thought he didn't look well so this isn't all that surprising.

RIP George...

Tim Russert, Stan Winston, and George Carlin makes three for me, but many others die every day of course, and even some semi-notable people (I only know this because I've seen threads started in their names over the past week, not that I know who they are). The 3 rule is still silly.

Oh, forgot about Russert.

Yeah, the 3 rule is pretty silly, but it's also strange how often it actually applies.

Yeah, I've got two of his books. Pretty good stuff.

I bet Kevin Smith is devistated as well.

The 3 rule is still silly.

It may be silly, but it's true.

Well, we had Jim McKay, Charlie Jones, and Tim Russert... all broadcasters... and all dying within about a week's time.

I think we're on a different 3 now.

:-o

Since we're kind of pointing toward a dead pool how old is Jonathan Winters now?

82 I think. He was on the TV Land awards show a couple weeks ago. He doesn't look all that much different than he did when he was on Mork and Mindy.

As for the 3 rule it also happens in multiples of 3.

People die constantly. You can always just list three names.

I'm telling you people die in groups of 3. Don't believe me? Ask :death:

Its because :death: is trying to save gas, so he comes to get them 3 at a time for car pooling......

I'm thinking about picking Neil Armstrong as my off the wall choice.... altho Ed McMahan (sp?) might be a safe choice.
