View Full Version : Has Tinsley Had Surgery Yet?

Considering the severity of Tinsley's knee "injury", has he had surgery yet? I figured since it caused him to miss so many games he would've certainly needed to have it scoped at the very least.

Has anyone heard anything about his "injury" at all? I'm only asking because this is a major factor in whether he has any trade value at all. He's nearly impossible to trade as is but if he has to rehab a surgery that reduces his value even more.

What I really want to know is how can someone continually injure himself so badly that he is force to miss dozens of games each year without ever requiring surgery?

Of course, I'm of the opinion he really wasn't hurt that bad but have no other evidence than the fact that each year he breaks down after playing 45 games or so and misses over 30 games but that same injury never requires any surgery.

He's recovering slowly, but is forced to wear a Darth Vader-like suite before his body can recover from such a major transplant:

In all seriousness, all's quiet on the Tinsley front.

I'm shocked he never had sinus surgery.

Off topic, but have you ever witnessed one? For a pysch class freshman year we had to watch one that was performed in the 40's or 50's, it was black and white I do remember that. Talk about disgusting. They literally took a hand drill, not a power drill, and started taking out an area of the brain.

I don't get squeemish (sp?) at all but I thought I was gonna pass out.

Really? That would mean that he actually had sinus problems. Can't fix something when nothing is wrong.

This is why I stopped at chemistry in junior year of high school.

No, I never had but it is my understanding they did have to replace some of the cement in Tinsley's head.

While they are doing that could they remove the cement from his legs too? Maybe then he could stay in front of someone.

Tough to breakout when you're never on the floor.

My only contributions to this thread, and frankly the entire forum for several months now is this.

Everytime I hear about Jammal, Jermaine, Ron,Jon or David my mind will now do nothing but wonder to a land where troubles melt like a lemon drop.

Actually now that I think about it, maybe if I just close my eyes and sing this song inside my head the entire last seven miserable years will melt away.

how could you still have faith in him. He hasnt played a whole season for sooo many years now. Everyones given up on him now, even O'Brien. Tins is a good baller, but hes just too unreliable...Its hard having a starting PG out for most of the season and then have to start your backup (Diener) and then have to sign another backup (Flip) in the middle of the season

What are your expectations for Tinsley this coming season?

All signs indicate that he is not going to see the court....err, the basketball court. He is omitted where he clearly belongs in the write-ups or is directly dissed by those in the know.

I think they may have decided to eat his contract or alternatively trade him for an equivalent. I have serious doubts that we will see him again in a Pacer uni.
