Does anyone know if there is a website anywhere that's posting a list of all the players that will be available to Charlotte (based on leaks from the league)? It would be fun if we could all spend the next 10 days picking our own top 14 from that list and see who comes closest to what Charlotte actually does.

anybody?

The Bobcats webpage has quotes from basically all the reported news sources about who is available and potential deals, etc.:

Thanks for this.

OK, here are some names from those articles:

Jerry Stackhouse (Washington Wizards), Christian Laettner (Washington Wizards), Eddie Robinson (Chicago Bulls), Eddie Jones (Miami Heat), Malik Rose (San Antonio Spurs), Ervin Johnson (Minnesota), Antonio Davis (Chicago Bulls), David Wesley or Courtney Alexander (New Orleans Hornets), Rodney Rogers or Lucious Harris (New Jersey Nets), Juan Dixon (Washington Wizards) Gerald Wallace (Sacramento Kings), Tony Delk (Dallas Mavericks), Elden Campbell (Detroit Pistons), Alonzo Mourning (New Jersey Nets) Derrick Coleman (Philadelphia 76ers), Rick Fox (Los Angeles Lakers), Greg Buckner (Philadelphia 76ers); Marcus Fizer, Antonio Davis, Scottie Pippen, Eddie Robinson and Jerome Williams (Chicago Bulls); Jarron Collins and Curtis Borchardt, or less likely, Mo Williams (Utah Jazz).

Of course, it's hard to tell which of these are based on speculation versus leaks from NBA sources...

Where did you guys get these names?

Was it Chad Ford from ESPN Insider? ESPN.COM says he has a list and I was wondering if someone who had that could check.

* Restricted free agent. If the Bobcats draft a restricted free agent, he immediately becomes an unrestricted free agent and his contract does not count against the Bobcats' salary cap. The team that loses that player is not allowed to re-sign him.

Without looking at contracts, I expect the Bobcats to be interested in these guys:

jumaine jones, eddie house, brian skinner, dahntay jones, eddie gill, dan dickau, qyntel woods, malik rose, gerald wallace, juan dixon, courtney alexander, lonny baxter, jr bremer

perhaps the biggest surprise on the list is jazz guard/forward sasha pavlovic, a first rounder last year. jazz were supposed to be high on him.

sacto's gerald wallace is also another guy who's supposed to have a bright future.

orlando's zaza pachulia is also a possibility.

memphis would likely lose a big man, either ren wright or big jake. the quality of big men available is actually quite poor, since many big money players ended up being protected.

actually most of the best prospects available seem to be small forwards. does this mean james jones is safe?

I wouldn't mind getting a little deal with Charlotte to get Lorenzen Wright. He could start and/or play play both the 4 and 5 spots, plus I don't think his contract is a total killer.

No comments on the Pacer's list?

Ford has Brewer as restricted instead of unrestricted, and he doesn't have AJ as restricted.

Chucky Atkins in Boston is so upset that he is unprotected that he wants to be traded.

Of course he is someone the Celtics would prefer to keep and who probably will not be picked, since he has a relatively high salary.

This shows the wisdom in trying to keep your list secret.

7.15 next season, 7.8 the following.

Just shy of Brad Miller type money but Wright isn't close to being a 2 time all star.
