The Indianapolis Colts (http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080606/SPORTS03/80606043#) have traded fullback Luke Lawton to the Philadelphia Eagles for a conditional 2009 draft choice.

Lawton emerged as a crowd favorite for the Colts in 2007. He appeared in 11 games (http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080606/SPORTS03/80606043#), primarily seeing action on special teams and as a lead blocker in short-yardage situations. Lawton carried the ball five times for 13 yards and caught four passes for 29 yards and one touchdown.

Looks like the Colt's knew they didn't have a postion for him with the addition of Santi and Hart and tried to find a team that could use him.

Watching the Eagles games will be very confusing if he makes their team. As much as their fans boo, noone will ever know if they are actually saying, "Luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuke!"
Good luck, LL.

NEVER LET GO!

Probably a 7th rounder if he makes the roster...

Good front office move. The colts are deeper than they have been in a while at running back anyhow.

yeah we have more then enough running backs this year. we NEED work on special teams imo...and our D could use a bit of work

We need a FB badly so thats why we keep getting them. Klecko has been moved to DLine i believe since this trade.

Oh and dont worry about the cheering, we would chant Duuuuuuuce for Duce Staley all the time and it would sound like booing.

jacob tammy who we drafted could work out as a fullback but personaly id rather have a big brusier in that spot instead of a converted tight end

I think you mean Santi as the fullback. He is the one that weighs more and has played fullback in college as well.

If Robinson makes the team he would be the best option at fullback in my opinion. He is the best blocker of all the TE's we have.
