ESPN just showed two of them that are Pacers-related: Smits' '95 shot over Tree Rollins, and Reggie's '98 shot over MJ.

Memories... :sigh:

The two most exciting games I've ever been to. Even 10 and 13 years later, I have vivid memories of those games and the moments when the two shots were hit.

The Smits shot was different because it ended the game - it was over. Reggie's shot left a second or so for MJ to have another crack at it and he almost made his shot, after a huge mistake by Derrick McKey

And no more white guys, please.

Very nice.

Not with our horrible management and their insistence on quick fixes.

Either rebuild this junky team, or I'm becoming a Laker fan.

And no more white guys, please.
Ah, excuse me, but as I recall it was the team's black players who made negative headlines the last two seasons for everything from getting into bar fights to their association with people of questionable character. I think you might want to rethink how you play the race card, fella. In your case, it would have been better had you just folded.

As for the whole "no more white players" issue he's not the only one who has thought it. He's just the one who was dumb enough to put it out there.

The best times of my childhood happened during these times.

I remember when Smits hit that shot. I was at a restaurant at the time and ran around celebrating in the parking lot like an idiot.

I miss those times. :(

Hard to remember I know, but we've had our days. Lots of them - Smits, Reggie, Byron, the ABA titles. We'll see them again.
