Congrats! How did you propose?

I was a nervous wreck, though we have talked about marriage for a while now. I took Kat out for a walk across Purdue's campus on a clear night a few weeks back, as we often do. I proposed on bended knee at the Liberal Arts fountain. Shockingly, she said yes.

You mean, that's what you told her you had thought about doing two weeks after asking her to marry you via Pacers Digest PM.

Just kidding buddy.

Congrats and good luck to the both of you - now get to work on those vows!

Is this the first Pacers Digest wedding?

Will Peck , Uncle Buck and Mal be conducting the ceremony?

Enjoy these last days of youth , optimism and freedom before the soul crushing magnitude of your decision settles in on you.

Of course {to your knowledge} I'm just kidding.

Good luck to you.

Message to Kat......Geezer Jr. was engaged to the same girl for 9 years....even gave her a second engagement ring as a "booster shot". Never did marry that girl, she gave up. Here's a tip.......set a date soon and withhold all favors until that date is met.

Really......best of luck to both of you.

From what I've heard about Kat, that may be more torture for her than it is him.........

Oh, and Gyron would be correct. :D

You've finally figured it out. It breaks down like this:

Kat = Kills + Cat

Or not. ;)

If he did one of two things would happen. Either our grandmother would rise from the dead and not be at all happy or she'd be thrilled that again there was someone in the family who went into the priesthood.

Hey Keg, if you decide to go through with it Sister Elaine might be able to help you out. (Or damn you to hell.)

I went to one of those dinner/murder parties last year dressed in the long black tunic, white collar, and flat brimmed priest chapeau of times gone by. I rented it from a shop downtown. It was authentic coming from a priest who had been in the family (deceased)....they were very picky about how it was being used and how it would be treated. But nobody came from the dead to condemn me for wearing it, at least, nobody that I saw.

Might I recommend Savannah for a couples vacation spot, if not honeymoon? Lots of good food and history in the region. Short drive to Charleston and Hilton Head.

Just let me say that as the "Geezer" around here I should be giving the bride away. And dancing with her at the reception.....and showing everyone how to "tuck a buck" (there are proprieties you know.........I'm very good at demo'ing the improprieties).

Oh yeah....has the date been set yet? Do I need to send you guys any books?
