My Prediction "So far there have been no talks involving Tracy or the Orlando Magic. We are always listening though".... something to that extent

Just what I was thinking, ROC. Usually his typical answer is something along the line of "I don't know where these reports come from. We haven't talked to Tracy or the Magic at all"

However if what he says tonight deviates from his usual party line, that would be very, very interesting... :hmm:

Here's the transscript.

Reporter: So what about the rumors of a Tracy McGrady deal?

D.W: The reports are pre-emptive, and I don't think there's a chance of that happening.

Reporter: Why do you think that?

D.W: Because we just acquired T-Mac and there's NO WAY I'm trading him anywhere else. :pepper:

Reporter: WHAT??? What are the Pacers giving up in this deal then, Donnie?

D.W: Al Harrington, Scot Pollard, Fred Jones and a future draft pick, we ripped them off BAD didn't we???

Reporter: Well a bit of breaking news here as T-Mac has apparently been traded to the Pacers, want to add anything D.W.?

D.W: Well :finger: you, ya think I would break a trade over NATIONAL TV??? I'm the craftiest mother****er around.

 :unimpressed:

Seriously, this interview is going to be about as exciting and news breaking as hearing Rick speak.

Got Tivo, a VCR the ability to write like a reporter, something? I would at least want to hear some possible rumors of some sort. If there's nothing like that then it's boring.

Thanks to TIVO, here's what was said:

Donnie: "I really haven't heard that on official circles. What happens now is...nobody talks to you during the playoffs because obviously if names get out at that point then it can hurt your team. So, any conversation about trades and all that will start taking place now. Larry and I will be sitting down now and will be either making calls or taking calls from other teams. And then that will develop. But what you read on the internet right now has nothing to do with anything because nobody's talking. We think we have a lot of good players and unless we hear the right names we're not going to consider trades. We basically think, great, we have a good team, we went to the final four, we know where we have to improve the team. But as far as like looking at our team and thinking well we have to get this guy and trade him, I don't think we're at that position."

Yes, typical company stuff. Hope you enjoyed.
