View Full Version : This will be a very interesting, very controversial movie.
It's a documentary about suppression and bigotry in the world of science, particularly regarding the whole Intelligent Design movement.

That looks real interesting.

Looks interesting indeed. I'm a big fan of the ID. And I've always wanted to win Ben Stein's money.

****ing bull****. That's all.
And Intelligent Design gives pseudoscience a bad name.

The topic is indeed very interesting, but aspects of that trailer are pretty ridiculous. Do you really need the Michael Myers-esque music playing in the background the whole time? Is this a documentary or a gritty political thriller where "friends become enemies, enemies become friends, and your next move may be your last"? And what's with, "If you watch this movie, you might lose your friends. You might lose your job"? What the hell is he talking about?
Anyway, those are just marketing flaws.
It's look interesting.

It was definitely a little hyperbolic, but if you read/watch/listen to some of the stories at the above link, you'll begin to understand what he's talking about.

Just another tactic to try to get religion into a science classroom, where it doesn't belong. They couldn't get creationism into the science classroom, so they re-labled it as "intelligent design" and actually tried to sell it as a scientific alternative to evolution. That failed to get it into classrooms.
Now apparently they're trying to nab famous faces and going the "we're being oppressed!!" route while at the same time trying to make science look evil. Just more propaganda.
This isn't going to convince anyone. Anyone who still believes in creationism will still believe in creationism. Anyone who still believes in evolution will still believe in evolution.
