I finder it harder to write this list than I expected.

I think I've come up with 35 so far.

I know there are a lot of young people on here who still see an ocean of time before death...

But what's on your list?

finding a girl who is mentally, emotionally and physically healthy...so far the best I could find was 2/3 which was still not good enough....

and cause i have a height phobia...i would want to try this skydiving - just to get over the fear....

i've been doing my fair share of traveling around the world so that is not something i could care about too much...

i suppose winning the lotto would be in there...but i would have to start to play lotto for that to happen ;)

Don't you think a mentally stable hot woman is a little much to ask.

Let's be reasonable.

I'll throw one out from my list.

I want to see a big time heavyweight championship fight in Las Vegas.

I want to fly to Seattle.. rent a car and drive up the coast to Alaska.

I want to see Alaska but not from a boat stuffing myself at a buffet line.

What about a buffet line on a boat with really large windows?

I've actually done this! I backpacked Denali National Park for 3 months one summer in college. This is ABSOLUTELY something to do before you die.

My #1 thing to do before I die is see my children graduate college. Well I guess first I should make some children... but then the college thing.

from what i've seen so far...it does seem like too much to ask for...

its either a stable mind and an ugly girl or a hottie with a mental flaw...

its like the hotter they are the more psycho they become...

most likely cause of the attention they get...

back to the topic - graduating from college - i'd add that to the list

At my age I've been pretty lucky to have done a whole lot of what I wanted to do. I raised a beautiful daughter and got to see her graduate from college and enter a terrific career path. I've been extremely fortunate to have been able to work in both professional and international sports which had been a lifelong dream. Since I've been on this side of the world I got to mark off seeing the Pyramids in Egypt and the Taj Mahal in India. Soon the Colisseum in Rome will be off the list.

There have been plenty of bumps and bruises but I've been given a good life. My goal after leaving Iraq is to work strictly with helping others.

Wow. OK, this is going to sound corny, but thinking about this question has made me really reflect on my past accomplishments. It's made me realize that I've done quite a lot in my life. Maybe not financially, but I've taken a stab at quite a few things that others only dream of trying.

Here's my list for the future.

1) Surf the north shore of Oahu
2) Play in a poker tournament
3) See Europe
4) See South America
5) Live in Hawaii
6) Live in Rio
7) Run a marathon
8) Bike a century
9) Go back to school
10) learn Flash.
11) go fishing with my dad.

I'll need to think about some more.

Don't worry...Just go for it. If she turns out to be on the wrong side of the line on the Hot/Crazy scale you've got plenty of exits.

Barney's Highway Theory: There are certain "exits" that one can take in a relationship. Trying to exit at any other point would end up with serious consequences. Here are the seven exit points:

1. 6 hours into the relationship
2. 4 days
3. 3 weeks
4. 7 months after the first date
5. 1.5 years (18 months)
6. 18 years
7. When someone dies

Hey there old buddy. Good to see you on here again

They do say it gets harder to learn a new language as one gets older but research has shown that it is actually beneficial to the brain to learn new things as one ages. I've actually taken up learning how to speak and read Mandarin Chinese and can manage to come up with a few semi-intelligible sentences every now and then in a Chinese restaurant. Either that or the waitresses are just humoring me so that I'll leave a good tip... ;)

On a related note for this thread, I'd love to travel to China someday and see the Great Wall.

Hey buddy. Long time.

I've heard chinese is tough. I'd just like to be able to say "please no hair in my general tszo's chicken please". If you can teach me that it will be duck soup.

There are definitely plenty of opportunities in business to make that trip.

Or you could score tickets to the Olympics.

I agree with you on keeping the brain challenged. What's left of it needs to be kept on it's toes.

I'll come up with 90 things that I've already done.

Then my life will be complete & I can die a happy man on Tuesday.

Because of this very thread I started making a list but it hasnt' gotten very long.

3. Enter a Demolition Derby
4. Lose over 100 lbs
5. Build my own dream house
6. Single-handedly save someones life... (think runaway car with kid in the road or saving someone stuck in a well/avalanche/serial killers basement)

But thats all for right now

02-28-2008, 02:26 AM
I've heard of people doing 1 situp on Jan. 1st... 2 on the 2nd and so on until they are doing 358 sit-ups x-mas eve and 359 sit-ups Christmas Morning and so on. Too Much but a good way to build up to doing that many if thats what you are into.

Twes
02-28-2008, 12:00 PM
Doing 100 situps a day for an entire year is 36,600 situps in 2008

Doing 1 situp January 1 and adding one each day is 67,161 situps

If you really want to get cocky you could do 1 situp January 1 and double it each day.
