Does this site have to require javascript? Is there a Javascriptless version that I can access from my PDA? I just want to be able to join the fun 24/7

Thanks for the support Nat Stoned. See you in the counting thread bud. But I am serious about the first post.

I believe it requires javascript, yes, but that usually doesn't stop a mobile phone IIRC. You might be seeing the message for another reason: A proxy IP address. Those are disallowed as much as possible automatically.

So I wont be able to access this awesomeness from my mobile phone? That is no fun. I just want to be able to read and post and feel loved.

I used to be able to access the site from my PDA about 5-6 months ago. But recently, I haven't been able to access it either (getting the javascript message as well).

What browser does a PDA use?

Mine uses Internet Explorer

Under tools/internet options/security/custom level button, check the boxes for active scripting enabled, and java scripting enabled??

If those are already checked...mmm, not sure.

When you click on help, about internet explorer, what version would be useful...

My PDA doesnt have any of those options for viewing. I think this new format must have done something to it?

I dont have all the normal toolbar access from my PDA

I was just reading about this on some of the tech support forums...apparently the Internet Explorer for the PDA...either working with the Mobile windows ver 5 or 6 has probs with javascript...

A couple of folks I read on the sites suggested going to the Mozilla project pages and getting their PDA browser, that it worked with javascript...

don't know. Don't have a pda to experiment with. Also rcarey's post that his worked until a while back makes me wonder...what changed? the software on his pda, or the construction of this site? Not enough info.

I'll ask a couple of the younger geeks at work tomorrow, if I can remember.

http://www.mozilla.org/projects/minimo/

Interesting stuff...my kids all carry little devices that do I don't know what all...I just cell phone and laptop it.

I think that link I put up last is the best bet...these guys at work are clueless on the PDAs.

Glad to help...hope it helps.

It broke on my phone, too.

I get what I like to call "the hardwood screen of death".

Took me a while to figure out there was really a "javascript required" message there somewhere.

Which is a bummer. I can get to most other sites.

I need a Palm OS solution.

Although I can't imagine navigating all of this on that little screen anyway.

yeah it does shrink but with different settings you can make it easier. I dont do it often due to the size of it all

Got it working on my Palm Treo 680 by downloading Opera Mini. Also had to download this IBM Java Software for Opera Mini to work properly. Anyway, the Opera Mini browser is very nice compared to what I was used to using.
