Patriot busted on pot charge (http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumors/view/38293)

The Patriots (http://www.fannation.com/tags/show_tag/17)' bewildering downward spiral took a Pat-thetic turn with yesterday's bust of defensive back Willie Andrews (http://www.fannation.com/tags/show_tag/3012) on a drug distribution charge in Lowell. Though described by law enforcement as "a perfect gentleman" and "extremely compliant," Andrews, 24, of Mansfield, who is two years into a four-year contract worth $1.65 million, was allegedly driving around with marijuana crammed in his pants and $6,808 bound in rubber bands in the console of his black 2007 Ford Crown Victoria with tinted windows.

He will be cut, I'm sure.

Every team now and then has an idiot who gets into trouble for criminal activity. See Dominic Rhodes and Cato June for your recent examples.

Ever since the Patriots were embarrased by Christian Peter, who was released by the Patriots after they drafted him in 1996 without doing a background check to learn of his 8 convictions, the Patriots have clamped down on bad behavior.

Incidentally, while Peter never became a Patriot, years later played for the Giants, Bears, and Colts.

He will be cut, I'm sure.

Yeah, he obviously doesn't fit in with the rest of the team. A perfect gentleman? Under Belichick's watch? That simply won't fly.

;)

....And then get an extension....
And then get a knee injury and eventually retire without having played more then half a season of games..or continually say he's coming back 100% healthy and is ready to get back up to that 'level'....but never actually do it.
