Age of Empires III is still selling that many copies a year? Thats unbelieveable. Its gotta be closing on a decade of being in production.

EDIT:
I'm a n00b. I was thinking of AOE2.

Were AOE or C&C any good?

I haven't bought a PC game this year... I haven't felt like I've missed anything.

Is the RPG genre pretty much dead, except for MMORPGs?

Sure feels like it. Seems like every game today is either a MMO or an FPS.

I know AOE finally came out, but it even feels like the strat-sim is a dying breed as well.

Although all bets are off once Starcraft 2 hits.

I don't have any of those games. In fact I haven't bought a full priced PC game since Half Life 2, which was obviously a brilliant masterpiece. I always wait until they hit the bargain bin, which happenes FAR faster for PC games than console games. I bought a package the other day that had Homeworld 2 and Warhammer 40k with expansions in it for $7 at half price books.
