Most of you like to focus on his D, but Tinsley has looked very good offensively since his return from injury/suspension. The ball is really moving and he's not pounding it.

No JO, means Granger should play like and All Star for the final 41 games.

As many as Murphy.

So this is our 9 man rotation for the rest of the year. There's enough talent for this to at least be a .500 group. I'd guess Ike is the next guy in the rotation.

Good first. Hopefully (hopefully, hopefully) we can just blow this team out.....I shouldn't say that.....I'm going to jinx the team.

Two positives to not having a post-player out there for the Pacers:

1) It forces every shooter to score the ball.

2) Ball movement will be better.

One negative to not having a post-player out there for the Pacers:

"Live by the 3, could very well die by the 3."

Let's hope that this shot becomes the team's bread and butter for the 2nd-half of the season.

He might see playing time today, but unless he regains that momentum he had before his injury I think Harrison will see more minutes than Ike only because Harrison has shown he can score from the field more efficiently despite his foul troubles.

I posted this after he hit that three in transition. His shooting has been really eratic all season and I really do hope that, if he's going to be the backup, he can hit the open three and midrange shot consistently. Other than push the ball, that's the only thing that kid is supposed to be able to do.

Quis has looked like utter **** this season. On both sides of the ball.

Our team hasn't played much D in the last few minutes. And that pass hit Rush in the back of the head......****

With the offense struggling, why not put Graham in for some energy and someone who will take the ball to the hoop?

I agree, I think we should give him atleast 15 mins, 10 the least. He's always ready and can knock down shots all over the floor!! If he's on the floor with Diener they both can boost some energy for the team

It's about time we make a run, I don't see how this team came back lol. We should win this game by 20+

I agree. I think what JOB is trying to do in going with Quis is put a few players out there who can create his own shot. Problem is if you put Quis out there at the Point, he doesn't have the handles like Tinsley or Deiner.

01-21-2008, 04:20 PM
Winning that quarter is huge for us. It was 18-3 Philly at one point and they had a 41-40 lead a little later in the quarter.

GREAT quarter from Murphy. That guy needs to start showing up a lot more than the guy we saw in the Kings game.

Limit the TO's and remember that you're allowed to take 2 point shots and we can get a W.

*I want to expand on my Graham point. I'm sure he's not as good as Marquis on D and doesn't have his unique slashing ability, but his outside shot is better and he is more than capable of taking the ball in the lane and finishing. This team has so few players with that type of skill set, that I think we have been forced to overvalue Marquis. Fact of the matter is he doesn't bring it every night. Let's give Graham a shot.

LG33
01-21-2008, 04:23 PM
I can almost guarantee that Dunleavy doesn't score more than 25 points this game despite having 21 at the half.

Isaac
01-21-2008, 04:26 PM
Mo Cheeks is probably the worst coach in the NBA. I would be so frustrated with the things he does if I were a Philly fan. Thaddeus Young and Jason Smith pretty much single handedly brought them back and he yanks them both at the same time. Some of their players often look really confused too, I think they aren't all sure what their role is. He sends players mixed messages about what they are supposed to do.

Anyways, good shooting half for us, I love when Jamaal plays this way. I wish he had this mindset every single game. The less Jamaal shoots, the more everybody is involved and the more exciting we are to watch. JOB should never say the word attack to Jamaal again.

I can almost guarantee that Dunleavy doesn't score more than 25 points this game despite having 21 at the half.

I'll take that bet in an instant. In fact, I'll even guarantee that Dun has more then 25 at the end of the 3rd quarter.

bnd45
01-21-2008, 04:41 PM
Great, Murphy plays well and then gets hurt. (M. Boyle said he has a knee injury and is unsure of his availability.)

As for the Murphy v. Foster shooting question, I just thought I'd include this: Tinsley is 1 for his last 28 from beyond the arc.

I don't think so. Foster scores off putbacks and of late he hasn't been that good at converting on his gimme's. Murphy doesn't like playing underneath. So, unless his 3-ball is on, you may as well say you've got Foster out there.

12 assists. You have to give him credit for 4 or 5 of those three-pointers.
The Sixers' coverage showed a pretty good replay of one of Kareem's treys and how Tinsley set it up as soon as he got it at his own free throw line.

Score would be 106-94 if Rush and Foster had made their free throws. Can't be leaving points out there on the rim, not with nearly 5 minutes left in the game and the score under 10.

I'd love to know what JT did THIS game to make you so upset with him. Assuming you watched the game that is...

Good start to this mini road trip, would be nice to see a 4 game streak going into the next Pistons game, entirely possible too.

He had a great 1st half, but a real lazy 2nd half. Down the stretch, he just stops pushing the ball. Slick kept pointing out the fact that we sit on the lead and go away from what got us the lead.

I only saw the second half.

I saw Diener come in and improve the +/- significantly. JT came in and we lost the large margin.

I saw JT get picked in the backcourt at a crucial place in the game. Then he drove to the hoop and did some one-handed street ball move and air-balled the layup.

It's possible that good Jamaal compensated for bad Jamaal in this game. But the bad Jamaal moves just foreshadow for me what usually happens at the end of important games.

I'm old, crusty, and cynical. Probably because the Pacers are mediocre and worthy of little respect these past few years.

Yup. Tinsley had 9 or 10 dimes in the first half and was continuously setting up shooters for wide open looks. Hard to write someones performance off when you only see half of the body of work.

:shakehead: Without Slick the Pacers would not exist. He is the most important person in Pacers history.

LoneGranger, I'll have to give it up to you on the Mike prediction. I think if Kareem hadn't caught fire like he did Dun would have been more aggressive though.

Great, GREAT game by Jeff Foster. He was fantastic down the stretch. We would have lost this game if Jeff didn't play all those 4th quarter minutes.
