I've been saying it for some time now:

Pistons = Lakers East

Now this I did have issue with. Him having no fouls is a joke. He had to have fouled at LEAST ONCE.

Guess how many times Ben has fouled out in the last four years...twice. The refs aren't biased, he just plays great defense without fouling.

Big Ben was over the back on at least three occasions. I guess that's par for the course with him. It is a bit odd for an aggressive inside defender to receive no fouls during a game in one of the most physical series seen in the NBA in some time.

Oh well.

There's a HUGE difference between not fouling out of a game, and NOT GETTING CALLED FOR A FOUL!!! :mad: :mad:

genuinely amazing that ben had no fouls. he is as physical as they come. i will say right now that will stop in the finals. he WILL get called for the over-the-back fouls and a good deal of bumping and shoving that he did in the ecf. detroit's big 3 of both wallaces and prince will all get nailed and they will not understand what is going on. detroit had like one or two techs in the ecf, they will have many more in the finals

i wonder what the pre-programmed refs will do when kobe spins and trips and falls down when ben is guarding him.... <should i call the foul, yes its kobe, no its ben, yes its kobe, no its ben, yes...> error.. error.

I don't want to join up with the "conspiracy" group, but.... I do find it hard to believe that a team like Detroit who goes for so many blocks and plays as physically inside as they do doesn't get called for more. It is beyond my grasp that Ben can play 45 or so minutes the way he does and not have one foul!! It will be interesting to see how the Finals are called, and IMO that will determine whether or not the Pistons can compete. If they're allowed to play like they did against us, I think a lot of people are in for a surprise!
Personally, I hate that Rasheed has a shot at a ring and reggie doesn't...(I'm allowed that ;) I also hate that Malone and Payton have a chance at getting their rings this way. The storyline would have been very interesting if Reggie had made it, him staying with his team and having a shot vs. them riding with Kobe and Shaq for theirs. Sometimes there is no justice in this world....

The NBA isn't a character competition, its a basketball one. And there definitely isn't a correlation from characater to basketball abilities. That's why losers like Malone and Bryant will get theirs. I feel bad for Reggie too, sometimes I wish he would've taken that offer from the Lakers, so I could have a reason to be a Laker fan and I could watch him finally get his ring.
