Yeah, if the East gets embarassed again, it's on your heads. Good luck though.

Go Lakers. Beat the **** out of them.

06-01-2004, 10:55 PM
I wish I could be more cordial, but Detroit talked too much crap and got too much of a benefit from the league for me to congratulate them.

Call it being a sore loser if you want, but I don't think Detroit deserves much credit since they likely wouldn't have beaten us without our injuries (which were caused by their rough play).

06-01-2004, 10:56 PM
No, they flat out played our shirts off. They are the better team and it has nothing to do with officials and rough play.

06-01-2004, 10:57 PM
well, rasheed is a loser, i however, admire rip and ben and what they do.
no real beef with them
divine intervention is the only way they'll beat la though.

Congratulations Pistons. See you next year.

06-01-2004, 11:00 PM
Props to the Pistons. They are one TOUGH team. They play damn hard and together. I'll be rooting for them hard against the Lakers. There might not be a non-Pacer I want to see win a Title more than Larry Brown.

Thanks guys, I've been raking in the congratulations all night, I feel like its 1990 and i'm only 8 years old again :D

Good series, and you'll get your shot at revenge next year. Indiana and Detroit are clearly the class of the east.

Congratulations to the Pacers. This has STILL been a successful season for them. You dont advance TWO rounds further than last year and call your season a failure.

06-01-2004, 11:21 PM
Pistons will win this series in 5 or 6 games, THEY are the best team in the NBA, not the Lakers

06-01-2004, 11:26 PM
Y'know, we may have the next Pacers/Knicks rivalry in the making here. Two gritty teams, two sets of fans that respect each other, but hate each other still.

Man, that would be some fun stuff. :)

Congratulations, you earned it. Now go kick some Laker ***.

06-01-2004, 11:31 PM
I also want to add my congratulations to the Pistons. Please represent the East well in the Finals.

06-01-2004, 11:32 PM
Good Job Detroit... you were the clear winner and definitely deserved it. The Pistons played harder and executed much better down the stretch.

06-01-2004, 11:36 PM
Congrats Piston fans. Your team was the better one this series. Hopefully your bigs can take advantage of the lead footed Lakers and Rip will run Kobi ragged. If you cn do what the Spurs couldn't and hit jump shots then you guys can beat the Lakers. I won't be watching, but I will check the scores in the paper.

I'll give congradulations to Detroit for winning.

But I'm completely torn on who to root for.

06-01-2004, 11:39 PM
I really, really, really want LB to get his ring. Screw Paytone and Malone.

06-01-2004, 11:42 PM
Congrats. The Pistons were better. I'll pretend Rasheed isn't on the Pistons and root for them.

06-01-2004, 11:47 PM
I'll give congradulations to Detroit for winning.

But I'm completely torn on who to root for.

I'm not going to root for either team because, as I said before, I'm not watching it. But can you really root FOR the Lakers? It's not like they have a guy like Magic on the team that generates any real respect or anything. The only time I have ever rooted for the Lakers was against the Bulls. Lot of good that did.

06-01-2004, 11:51 PM
After Game 5, I thought I'd root for the Lakers. Now, I don't think I can.

Maybe if I can just keep the mindset of "Who would I rather have finally win a ring? Larry Brown, or Malone and Payton?", I can root for Detroit.

The thing is, even if I do, I truly believe they will not win this series.

I've only been here about five days but it's nice to see all the positive comments about the Pistons.

It was a fun series. We're going to have our hands full with LA, but with the chance to succeed you have to accept the chance to fail. I'm hoping my team is up to the task.

congratulations pistons. cream the lakers!
