Even when Shawne was playing well, Jim was ragging on his defense.

What is going on?

Breaking him down to build him up maybee?

Watching the game last night I kept asking myself the same question. Shawne was playing great ball early in the season then JOB pulled his lunch card. I am still tyring to find out why

Hopefully this doesn't turn out to be O'brien crushing the confidence of this player, and then us winding up moving him for him to blossom elsewhere. I wouldn't mind starting him over Danny, and bringing Danny off the bench. I thing that could work out as well for us as it did for Ben Gordon when Chicago brought him off the bench. I just think Shawne meshes better with JO, and Danny's scoring would really bolster our 2nd unit.

He needs to play everyone. . . I wish Stephen Graham played last night, I hate having playing on the bench collecting up dust. He's athletic and can go to the basket, he can get us easy baskets when we're strugglin. It's like he's playing favorites, but I don't wanna go there

I think you should go there. The Pacers' embracing of a win here and now mindset is mind-boggling, considering that at our best, with the personnel that we have, we are a peripheral playoff team. Of course "anything can happen in the playoffs", but the setup for the NBA playoffs is such that the cream usually rises to the top in the long run. Even if we make the playoffs, our chance of knocking off a top tier team over the course of 7 games is unlikely. Williams, Granger, Diogu; these guys are our future, and they ought to be playing.

I don't know, but I can't be the only one worried that Shawne can't even take SOME of Rush's minutes. I mean Rush has had some good games, but if Shawne can't get 7-8 of his MPG then hes probably not going to amount to much in this league.

Per minute comparison, Rush v. Williams. I've got to say, unless the TOs and fouls are the main considerations, I'd be playing Williams more.

But considering how the Pacers have been hurt lately by TOs, and all season by foul differentials....maybe they get greater weight with Coach.

I think it comes down to the fact we have like 87 Fs on our roster and Rush is honestly the closest thing we have to a "traditional" SG.

Hell, I'll take Williams and Granger both starting with JO at 5, Dun and a healthy Tins. That's probably our most talented lineup. Let the bench work itself out from there.

I think that's on the money, right there.

Its also incredibly sad and says a lot about the sorry state of this team.

I'm ready to trade Shawne and a 1st rounder for Rodney Rogers and Tony Delk. After all, we're in win-now mode. We can't wait on Shawne to develop, we need to make a push for a 1st round exit.

I was impressed with what Shawne was doing there for some time. But lately Jim hasn't played him and like others i'm wondering why.

Is it just Jim favoring Kareem or what is the deal?

Shawne is a good player. Not as good as I think he can or will end up being but defiantly good enough to be in the regular rotation.
