Wouldn't it be nice if the T-Wolves won tonight? We should be so lucky...:irked:

I gotta admit, I have a hard time rooting for Spree, even if he isn't a Knick anymore...

When the Lakers come to play they can be amazing. It's hard to respect a team that dogs it so often though.

Wow; Minnesota's hanging around tonight. Impressive. I thought what I saw early was what the whole game was going to be like.

Hicks

4 fouls on Shaq before the half. :o

Kstat
05-31-2004, 10:25 PM
LA has been getting KILLED by the refs this half. That 4th foul on shaq was rediculous

BostonConnection
05-31-2004, 10:25 PM
Wow, they actually called Shaq for his 4th foul in the 1st half!

T-wolves gotta be very happy to be in striking distance in this game as the half winds down...

Halftime Score:

:lakers: 48
:timberwolves: 46

Hicks

Wolves only down 2 at the half!

Hicks
05-31-2004, 10:29 PM
I bet Shaq doesn't foul out of this game; regardless of if he ACTUALLY fouls twice or not.

Shaq has 4 fouls and Kobe 3.

I predict neither player will pick up more than 1 foul the rest of the way.

End of the 3rd Quarter:

:timberwolves: 68
:lakers: 67

Can the T-Wolves hold on?

Shade
05-31-2004, 11:13 PM
No fouls on Shaq or Kobe that quarter. What a shock.

And, no, the T'Wolves won't hold on. The Lakers will either get the calls or luck out for the 561977414575646113th time. :unimpressed:

If Mark Madsen needs to look for his nose, I think it may be somewhere on the other side of his skull after that elbow from Shaq...

(foul on Madsen's nose, BTW :unimpressed: )

Rush hits his 4th 3-pointer of the night. ******* the Lakers are lucky.

5th foul on Shaq!

Shade
05-31-2004, 11:23 PM
So, let's see here:

Spree goes in, gets hit and loses the ball, no call. Lakers go down the floor, Fisher steps out of bounds, no call. Lakers score.

Shade
05-31-2004, 11:23 PM
Shaq shoves Madsen to the floor, no call.

Hicks
05-31-2004, 11:24 PM
Shaq just pushed Madsen to the ground. Refs "didn't see it". :unimpressed:

Shade

Oooo...tech on Malone.

Shade
05-31-2004, 11:26 PM
Malone is a moron, btw. He keeps bodying Garnett and deserves to get the foul call.

Holy ****! A tech on Kobe!!

BostonConnection

Looks like it's on Kobe!

4th foul now on KG

KG is not coming through in the clutch.

Hicks

Wolves have blown a lot of chances to lead.

Wally sucks.

Wolves have blown a lot of chances to lead.

Yeah, I can't ***** much about this one so far. The Wolves have had far more chances than you normally get against the Lakers, and haven't converted.

KG is coming up small in crunch time.

The only big man who can take over a game is Shaq.

Shade
05-31-2004, 11:31 PM
Rush 5-5 from behind the arc.

If the stars don't step up, or get the calls, or get lucky, the scrubs play over their heads.

This game, and series, is OVER.

Kareem Rush.. that might have been the dagger. Wish we had someone on the bench who could shoot like that once in awhile.

Shade
05-31-2004, 11:32 PM
Spree sucks.

Shade
05-31-2004, 11:33 PM
Nice defense Minnesota.

Shade

Garnett sucks.

Shade
05-31-2004, 11:34 PM
Watching Minnesota try to score late is like watching the Pacers try to score late.

Shade
05-31-2004, 11:35 PM
That was the ugliest free throw in the history of the NBA by Madsen there.

Shade
05-31-2004, 11:35 PM
KG is getting killed by SLAVA. :shakehead:

Shade

Rush 6-6 from behind the arc.

Lucky-*** motherf@#$ers.

I added a poll to this thread about Kareem Rush vs. Freddie, since back when Jones was drafted the expectation was that we were going to pick Rush.

Thoughts?

Starting to get away from Minnie now... :(

We may as well just hand the Lakers the :trophy: now. They're just too good. Neither us nor the Pistons can beat them.

Ahh...another promising season down the tubes.

Quite the hook that Spree did on Malone on that foul. Methinks an elbow to the head is in Spree's future someday, if not in this game... ;)

Yeah, plus long term I think Fred will be the better player. But if he COULD shoot like that for us, it'd be nice.

Hicks

Nothing awful: he intentionally banked in a free throw. Show off, yes, but nothing awful.
