I'm not going to post the whole thing because it's long, but there is some mildly interesting Pacer related stuff.

On guys who made last year's list but not this years:

"Jermaine O'Neal (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=3120) (23) is our 2007-08 captain of the "Guys getting paid franchise money who don't feel obligated to carry their franchise" team"

On guys who almost made this year's list:

"Ray Felton (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=3931), Danny Granger (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=3943), Marvin Williams (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=3928), LaMarcus Aldridge (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=4130): All quality bargains because they're still on the rookie scale. Do you see any of them ever making an All-Star team? Me neither. Out of everyone on this list, I like Granger the most ... and I definitely like him more than Channing Frye (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=3934), Ike Diogu (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=3935), Yaroslav Korolev (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=3938), Rashad McCants (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=3940), Antoine Wright (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=3941) and Joey Graham (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=3942)."

He identifies Foster as having the 15th best non-rookie deal in the NBA.

He identifies Murphy as having the 3rd worst contract in the NBA.

That's all.

I think LaMarcus Aldridge will eventually be an All-Star.

"And poor Shaquille O'Neal (14) looks like he showers in cement before every other game, a slight problem considering he's making $20 million a year through 2009-10."

That is why I love his column

I'd take Danny over Ray and Marvin for sure, but if Portland offered us Aldridge for him...

If Chicago had taken Aldridge instead of Tyrus Thomas, they'd be contenders in the East right now.

Well they did take him....then traded him.

Love how in the section on Yao he calls Smits the most underrated C of his generation.

Well they did take him....then traded him.

And that will go down as Paxson's second worst move as a GM. What's sad is that it's not even a close second to the amount of money he gave Ben Wallace.

Is Kevin Martin the next Reggie Miller?

Simmons is an absolute fool for thinking that Aldridge will never make an All-Star game. I think Aldridge will be one of the best players in the league in the next 2-3 years. And if by some bizarre circumstance Portland offered us Aldridge for Granger straight up, we'd be absolutely foolish to pass it up. Granger is a great player, but you make that move without even blinking.

Granger probably won't make multiple All-Star games but I think eventually the circumstances will present themselves so that he will get in. Hell, Dale Davis made the All-Star game.

Good points, and afterall Brad Miller made two allstar teams and Rik Smits made one. So really anyone can make it if they are on a good team, that is the key for getting the coaches vote
