Anfernee Hardaway was released by the Heat.

6-7 SG shot 42% from behind the arc.

What do you guys think of Penny as a Pacer?

I guess the question is: Is he better than Kareem Rush?

I'm REALLY not a big Penny Hardaway fan.

But I'd rather have him than Kareem.

There's a reason they cut him and it wasn't because his knees are better than ever and he was schooling everybody on the court.

Think they would have traded him straight up for Rush?

Penny's numbers are about twice as good in twice as many minutes so I guess they're a wash talent wise. However Penny's ability to shoot the three, if that's something we think he can sustain as a Pacer, makes him worth trying out.

Just cut Sims again (yes we are weak in the front court with no Foster or Harrison, but what will Sims actually do?) and give him a shot. Or give Graham the minutes. I don't know. Just no more Rush.

I don't care what you say, Penny is not a proven shooter and has never been. He's only shooting 42% this year because he's had limited attempts. We might need help at that position, but I don't consider Penny Hardaway help. This is not the Hardaway's last career stop team [we already did that with Tim].

Penny is the definition of washed up. He should do the memory of him as an elite player a favour and retire.

Lol.

I have nothing against Penny but his playing days are over, or should be atleast.

I don't think he is better then Kareem. At least Kareem has good knees. Besides that, regardless of his shooting %, Kareem is a pure shooter. He really does have a nice stroke. I think that if he got some consistant playing time he would play much better for us, and play more consistantly.

I really don't understand why so many are hating on Kareem. He is a third string shooting guard. He has a nice shot. He make the min, why hate on him? Do you expect to have 15 all stars? If you expect him to be a 20 point scorer then that's your fault for thinking he is better then what he is. He isn't an all star for sure. But it doesn't mean he can't be a productive bench player.

Kareem gets some consistant playing time, say 20 minutes a night or so, I think he shoots much better. He won't be an all star, probably not even a starter, but he can be a nice shooter off the bench.

Me too. Even though I am a hardcore Pacer's fan. I've only owned two jersies, both given to me as presents, but they were my favorite players at the time. Penny and JO.
