View Full Version : Anybody watching TNT? Knicks getting the beating of a lifetime

Celtics are up 82-39 in the THIRD QUARTER. This is insane. It's the kind of beating that ends a season for a team... Half of the Knicks front office might be fired before tomorrow morning.

It's absolutely insane.

The Knicks are a total embarrassment to anyone who's ever watched basketball.

When you look at the results they've gotten considering their financial resources (they can go well over the luxury tax) and the fact that they play in a market were most players WANT to play, they are the worst run team in the league in the past 5-6 years.

Total lack of effort and desire to win.

I thought Fratello's discription of coaching a completely dispirited team was interesting

I hope Boston doesn't end up doubling them up. I like the Pacers having the distinction of being the only NBA team ever to accomplish that.

The Celtics, even with their scrubs in, are now up 50.

Well, it's good to see Big Baby Davis play. I haven't seen too much of him since LSU's tourney run a couple years ago.

What's the record for fewest points scored in an NBA game by one team?

It isn't the score, it is the complete lack of interest from the Knicks players

Eddy Curry simply does not pass. It's incredible. He's been triple teamed and would rather fade out of bounds while shooting than pass the ball.

This group of players are an absolute disgrace to the game of basketball.

I just checked in at the ESPN scoreboard while watching the GB/DAL game and thought the the same thing. 82-41 in the 4th, double their score that late in a game. Knicks are horrible. Isiah needs to be banned from the NBA.

ps - obviously the ESPN board is way behind, stuck at 11 in the 4th. Guess they gave up just like the Knicks. ;)

Making fun of Craig Sager's suit, or beating down the Knicks like they owed you money?

I'd have to go with making fun of Sager's suit. That's like shooting fish in a barrel.

As least for this game, KG had to work up a sweat for like...10 minutes? No, nevermind that's too much. Maybe 5.

LMAO found out why Boston beat them to bejeezus and back

from the new york post

According to the latest NY Post, Quentin Richardson has said that the Big Three arenít a big deal to him and may in fact be over-hyped.
Quentin Richardson:

ďItís not that big a deal to us. Itís like the media makes more of The Big Three and all of them. Weíre not in awe of them. They ainít won no championships. They have a good record right now, but that donít matter. Dallas showed that [last season].Ē

So the rumor is that Isiah wants to be fired for the compensation and refuses to walk away. So was this an intentional drubbing, is he guiding the team into the iceberg simply to walk away with cash?

Also something to consider, just mid-season last year after the Knicks went on a short run and it was enough to earn him an extension. Whoops! And you thought Croshere and Bender got paid too soon.

They're slightly incorrect. The game was in 1999 (early in the 99-00 season). Jonathan Bender's first game. He scored 10 points (became first Pacers rookie to score double figures in first game).

Hopefully the Knicks make a panic trade for JO and somehow we get David Lee and Ronaldo Balkman, two of my favorite players in the NBA.

It's hilarious that in EVERY pre-season prediction the Pacers were supposed to be near the worst team in the conference and that Knicks were supposed to be a playoff team. I don't think we have near the pure talent they have, from a basketball standpoint, but it just proves how valuable good character guys are to building a team. And I think we have one of the very best in Danny.

I don't think they are as good as the Mavs, Suns or Spurs. But they are better than everyone else. If you look at their schedule they have had oit easy up til now, and that has to change soon, although I haven't checked their schedule coming up

You sir are altogether wrong!

Why don't people on here check their facts?

The game was on Feb. 27, 1998. Interestingly JO was on the losing side.
