Thanks, I found that one too, able - I'm not really fond of it because it's not as good as my old one. Just gotta do a little more digging....

But I guess I'll use that one for now

Hicks

Bring these *****es on.

Hicks
01-17-2004, 08:11 PM
God no!! They said Knick Bavetta's one of the refs!!

I also heard Donahee or something like that. Isn't that bad, too?

Hicks
01-17-2004, 08:13 PM
Jumpshots and acting sluggish. God. :unimpressed:

zxc
01-17-2004, 08:13 PM
Well, that isn't a good way to start. =\

Kstat
01-17-2004, 08:13 PM
Someone might want to wake up JO, he's sleepwalking out there......

Hicks
01-17-2004, 08:19 PM
Looks like that early time out paid off.

zxc
01-17-2004, 08:19 PM
When is the last time Artest hit a three?

Kidd with two threes in a row.. ugh

Kstat
01-17-2004, 08:21 PM
So JO has KIDD on him in the post and kicks it out to Tins because.......

Hicks
01-17-2004, 08:21 PM
If Artest could hear me right now, I'd be calling him out for not driving. This is starting to remind me of his night when I went to the Dec. Nets game.

Oh, and Tinsley looks like he's using his old shooting form, which sucked.

zxc
01-17-2004, 08:23 PM
This isn't looking pretty. 10-0 run.

Just checked up on my own question there, last three Artest hit was 5 games ago at Dallas and he was 1-7 then.

Hicks
01-17-2004, 08:25 PM
2 fouls for O'Neal. I don't remember what the first one was.

Hicks
01-17-2004, 08:31 PM
This Zone is doing wonders for us.

Damnit I had my head turned and I hear commotion over Bender doing something. :(

Natston
01-17-2004, 08:31 PM
Bender!

Kstat
01-17-2004, 08:32 PM
Kenyon Martin, you have just been BENDERIZED.........

able
01-17-2004, 08:32 PM
well i have to suffer on 33.6 again ,but will try and read up, perhaps post, already missed the worst part of the game and not yet got a stream, i am starting to get annoyed :)

I know we're behind, don't worry, we'll win

zxc
01-17-2004, 08:33 PM
Some nice minutes from Bender this quarter. Started looking better near the end here.

Hicks
01-17-2004, 08:34 PM
Considering what happened, I'll take being down 3 after 1.

By the way caught the replay-- nice move by JB! :)

Natston

able, I was thinking about what you said on why you don't like to deal with avatars on your dialup. Just during the game, you could turn off IE from loading images. That's what I did when I was on dialup last night and that helped load things faster.

Natston
01-17-2004, 08:37 PM

01-17-2004, 08:38 PM
Not a good way to start the second quarter..

Hicks
01-17-2004, 08:39 PM
This sucks so far.

Natston
01-17-2004, 08:39 PM
Come on Jones...

That sucked. I really hate the Nets. =\

Hicks
01-17-2004, 08:44 PM
What is it with JO bobbling the ball in the post and playing the Nets??

zxc
01-17-2004, 08:47 PM
Our rebounding seems to suck tonight.

Hicks
01-17-2004, 08:47 PM
One of the things in this world I hate the most: How their arena announcer says Kidd's name after he makes a basket.

Natston

Our defense is BAD tonight.

zxc
01-17-2004, 08:54 PM
Can say that again. Hope we can just hang around this half. Hopefully make adjustments at half get back in it.

Natston
01-17-2004, 08:54 PM
Our defense is BAD tonight.

You're telling me that I'm not watching the slam dunk contest?

zxc
01-17-2004, 08:55 PM
And there is another one..

15-0 fastbreak points. Guess who has the 15..

Hicks
01-17-2004, 08:55 PM
This is embarrassing.

Natston
01-17-2004, 08:56 PM
And there is another one..

I've honestly lost count...

Hicks
01-17-2004, 08:57 PM
3 on O'Neal now.

:unimpressed:

zxc
01-17-2004, 08:57 PM
And there is JO's third. Hope this isn't a double digit lead at halftime. Need to cut into this some before this ends.

Tinsley.. stop shooting.

Tinsley gets benched after that shot then the matador D.

Hicks
01-17-2004, 08:59 PM
Do you ever feel that on D all Martin does is stiff arm and push?

able
01-17-2004, 09:01 PM
ok so Jamal is "not in it" tonight, Jeff has only 0 0 0 0 on his stat sheat, Only JO and Ron are scoring, JO out with 3 fouls (again) WTF is going on, besides the wrong Ref on the court again?

zxc
01-17-2004, 09:02 PM
Yet another wide open guy in the paint.

Natston
01-17-2004, 09:05 PM
Come on D!

ABADays
01-17-2004, 09:07 PM
This sucks - no defense - no rebounding - Artest settling for jump shots!

zxc
01-17-2004, 09:07 PM
That sucked. Foster falls down gives them 2 after playing solid D. Now they go to the line to push it back to 10 after we had it down to 6.. bah.

Almost ended well. But down 10 at half. =\

How does Reggie go from last nights game to only 2 shots tonight?(hit them both).

Natston
01-17-2004, 09:08 PM
Thats why Foster isn't starting at PG...

Ragnar
01-17-2004, 09:11 PM
Well that sucked

Hicks
01-17-2004, 09:13 PM
Yeeesh. Little from Reggie. Tinsley sucked. Artest still slumping, THEN gets his thumb hurt. JO average and in foul trouble. Al all right, but still could be better, Foster sluggish and with a bad finger, Johnson not hitting shots, and our team defense sucks.

NOT a good night so far.

Man, it's nice to beat the Spurs, but I still get so damn frustrated that our normal big number guys always disappear when we play the big boys. Lakers, first game against Spurs (well, the numbers were decent, but they still played bad early), tonight, the other Nets game, the second Detroit game, blah! :puke:

Hicks
01-17-2004, 09:14 PM
Oh, and with Bender back we didn't play Pollard OR Croshere AT ALL.

Ragnar
01-17-2004, 09:14 PM
I am ok with not playing Pollard but I would like to see if Cro can get it going.

Can we see siggy tonight please  Clearly Aj is not getting it done and Rick does not trust Tins.

Our big number guys actually doing well. Double figures for all three of our top scorers first half. Had a good offensive first half for our team really. Defense is where we sucked.

I actually want to see some Pollard tonight. Last night he was playing more physically than I've seen him play for the pacers.

Shade
01-17-2004, 09:25 PM
I just got back from getting a haircut, but have been listening to the game.

Can we possibly have a worse interior/transition defense?

Hicks
01-17-2004, 09:27 PM
3 fouls on Martin, after a steal and 3 by Tins and a charge drawn by JO. Nice.

Hicks
01-17-2004, 09:28 PM
Time out Nets. :)

Shade
01-17-2004, 09:28 PM
7-0 Pacers run to start the third.

Down to 3.

:gopacers:

zxc
01-17-2004, 09:29 PM
Great start to the third, just like last nights game kinda.

Hicks
01-17-2004, 09:31 PM
God damnit. :soundoff: they call that type of foul on JO all the time, while we get shoved. I'll never understand it.

zxc
01-17-2004, 09:31 PM
Cheap foul on JO gets his fourth. Martin should have 4 too but of course not =\

Shade
01-17-2004, 09:31 PM
The refs are not going to give Martin his fourth any time soon, but they whistle up JO for his fourth on that weak stuff.

zxc
01-17-2004, 09:33 PM
Tinsley killing us missing all these wide open shots. Wish some of these could go to Reggie.

Hicks
01-17-2004, 09:33 PM
You know, I really thought with JO's all-star status and new big contract, some of this ticky-tack foul crap would stop. Guess not. :unimpressed:

Shade
01-17-2004, 09:33 PM
Oh jeez, Bavetta is out there?

It's over.

Hicks
01-17-2004, 09:34 PM
At least Tinsley is kindof a threat from out there now. :)

Shade
01-17-2004, 09:35 PM
The Pacers are controlling the tempo and, most importantly, making some shots. The Nets can't run effectively on made shots.

zxc
01-17-2004, 09:35 PM
2-11 now for Tinsley, most of those shots wide open threes. Not gonna get it done. Coulda tied it up that possesion didn't need a Tinsley three midway through the shot clock. Bah..

Shade
01-17-2004, 09:36 PM
Another BS foul. Night in and night out.

If I ever go on a murderous rampage, NBA refs had better watch their backs. Most notably, Dick Bavetta and Steve Javie. :soundoff:

Hicks
01-17-2004, 09:37 PM
Al got MUGGED

Hicks
01-17-2004, 09:38 PM
Martin is a pussy. He wanted to slug Foster for backing into him.

Shade
01-17-2004, 09:38 PM
We're getting hammered on our end and the Nets are getting ticky-tack after ticky-tack.

Yeah, NBA refs don't favor teams or anything.

Hicks
01-17-2004, 09:39 PM
Ha! Jeff got the foul called on Martin! :D

zxc
01-17-2004, 09:39 PM
Ha. Number 4 for him after that. Hate that guy.

Shade
01-17-2004, 09:39 PM
OMG, I can't believe we actually got that call.

able
01-17-2004, 09:39 PM
well at least i can now get the stream, we are catching up, maybe the lead, Tins was awakend during the break, to bad these refs have it in for JO, but we should get used to that.
Someone has to take Martin out of there, he's an arse and deserves the fouls he doesn't get.

time to take 'm down HARD, if we can stay within 5 and JO back in in the 4th we win this game, wanna bet we are ahead end of 3 ?

zxc
01-17-2004, 09:40 PM
Now 4 on Foster. Blowing chances to take this game over here. =\

Shade
01-17-2004, 09:40 PM
Martin just traveled, and they called Foster for the foul. :unimpressed:

Natston
01-17-2004, 09:40 PM
Am I surprised that traveling doesn't get called?

Hicks
01-17-2004, 09:40 PM
Pollard sighting! Finally, some muscle!

Hicks
01-17-2004, 09:41 PM
Pollard ties it :D

Hicks
01-17-2004, 09:41 PM
3 seconds. *whew*

Shade
01-17-2004, 09:41 PM
Ordinarily, I would not condone intentionally fouling a guy hard. But in Martin's case, I'm sorely tempted.

Hicks
01-17-2004, 09:42 PM
3 seconds. D'oh!

zxc
01-17-2004, 09:42 PM
Three seconds on us now another blown chance to take lead. Bah.

Hicks
01-17-2004, 09:42 PM
Ordinarily, I would not condone intentionally fouling a guy hard. But in Martin's case, I'm sorely tempted.

Yeah. Where's Brad Miller when you REALLY need him?

zxc
01-17-2004, 09:45 PM
Ugh. Another missed chance and now lead to 3 with more fast break points for them. =\

zxc
01-17-2004, 09:48 PM
Rodney Rogers beating us on the break now. Lead back to 5 if he hits these. Can't let it slup away so fast after getting back into it.

Shade
01-17-2004, 09:50 PM
Who's supposed to be guarding Kidd?

Shade
01-17-2004, 09:50 PM
We're killing ourselves. :shakehead:

zxc
01-17-2004, 09:51 PM
Totally collapsing last few mins here now.

Started quarter down 10, now we are down 9 again after we had it tied up. =\

Shade
01-17-2004, 09:51 PM
Kidd for 3 more. Down 9 again.

And both of them...wide ****ing open. :soundoff:

Hicks
01-17-2004, 09:51 PM
We have the shittiest luck. Tim Duncan: Crappy free-throw shooter. He shoots like 85% against us.

Jason Kidd: Crappy 3 point shooter. He hits 4 or 5 a game against us.

Shade
01-17-2004, 09:52 PM
Kidd for 3 more. Down 9 again.

In the case of Kidd, though, there's not even a man on him. He was reluctant to take each of the last two shots, but you have to when you're WIDE OPEN.

zxc
01-17-2004, 09:53 PM
Well this is depressing. Detroit beating Bucks too. Division getting too close for comfort if we lose this one.

Shade

I had that word in the filter, but this 2.0.6 version of the forum has a dumber filter than the 2.0.5 one had.

I just updated it.

zxc
01-17-2004, 09:54 PM
Can't believe after all that we actually lost ground this quarter. Started down 10 now down 11. 13-2 run to end quarter.. =\

Shade
01-17-2004, 09:55 PM
All of that, and we lost a point in the quarter.

Screw it. This one's over. :shakehead:

Way to let those trash-talking scumbags show you up again, guys. :unimpressed:

able
01-17-2004, 09:56 PM
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

AJ is screwing things up again as usual, more shotclock violations with him in then with any one i've ever seen play the point.

just when Tins got well again, I say give it back to Tins and see where we end up, this isn't bringing anything either.

and without JO AND Reg, we have no offense whatsoever in except Al and Ron

I said we would win with less then 5 behind, that was not counting on AJ not showing again, and staying within 5, instead of clawing back we lost a point, not sure of i like the rotations tonight

oh yeah, AJ is supposed to defend Kidd, how many did he score uncontested?

Hicks
01-17-2004, 09:57 PM

Down to 4.

Rebounding killing us.

Hicks
01-17-2004, 10:04 PM
Here comes Martin. JO will foul out now. :unimpressed:

Hicks
01-17-2004, 10:05 PM
Glad we have Bender to block, too. Without it JO would be getting abused badly.

Shade
01-17-2004, 10:06 PM
We can't get over the hump.

Hicks
01-17-2004, 10:06 PM

Shade
01-17-2004, 10:06 PM
And on that note...

Bench AJ.

zxc
01-17-2004, 10:06 PM
Tinsley was actually doing well this half. No clue why AJ is still out there now. Been out there way too long.

Hicks
01-17-2004, 10:07 PM
And suddenly AJ drills a 3!

Shade
01-17-2004, 10:07 PM

Shade
01-17-2004, 10:08 PM
Pacers lead!!!!! :jawdrop:

zxc
01-17-2004, 10:08 PM
Tinsley for the lead!

Ugh Al. Can't blow chances like that.

Shade
01-17-2004, 10:08 PM
If we can pull this one off I'll be sooooo happy. :D

Hicks
01-17-2004, 10:09 PM
Man, just wouldn't drop. :(

I think they'll take the lead here.

zxc
01-17-2004, 10:09 PM
Has Kidd played this entire second half? Hopefully he is wearing down.

Natston
01-17-2004, 10:10 PM
Come on Pacers...

zxc
01-17-2004, 10:11 PM
Where was this foul? And Why didn't Al go for the ball?

Hicks
01-17-2004, 10:12 PM
Why didn't Al go for that rebound??

Roaming Gnome
01-17-2004, 10:12 PM
Why is it that Pacer's Television coverage is crappy at showing replays? Seems like they show a highlight when you want to see a controvertial call. Almost like someone in the truck doesn't know what they are doing!

Hicks
01-17-2004, 10:12 PM
Where was this foul? And Why didn't Al go for the ball?

Dick Ba"Net"ta? And I don't know.

Hicks
01-17-2004, 10:13 PM

Nice Reggie, 5 on Jefferson. We need to start building this lead had so many chances.

Timeout Indiana? Why? Nets in a total slump right now don't need to give them chance to regroup. 3 mins left now too we might need that timeout in the last minute.

Clue me in here guys, GameChannel says we're up by three, then Al with the steal.

Then he got an isolation, Martin pulled the chair out from under him, and he fell and the ball flew out of bounds.

Then on the other end Reggie "drew" an offensive foul on the perimeter. Then Rick called a timeout.

Quinn said "good timeout here" when he called it, but didn't get a chance to explain why. I'd like to know. I mean, I don't have a big problem with it, but now that you mention it, it does worry me that it gives the Nets a chance to regroup.

I still feel like we have stretches of lucking out by bad turnovers or missed shots by the other team, but still considering the things that weren't in our favor tonight (foul trouble, horrible calls), I'm starting to believe.

I'm always supportive, I always think kindly of this team, but for the first time since the Bird Era I'm really starting to slowly creep back to where I was during the Bird Era in the confidence/cockiness in us being one of the best. It's starting to feel real.

We've still got a long ways to go, but boy are we finally (finally) starting to get there. We'll still have lapses of immaturity, but we're continually improving now and it's a joy to behold (finally).
