I fell into club level tickets just one day before the game, and got to have dinner at Harry & Izzy's to boot...

I didn't get to follow my standard protocol when attending games, so didn't get any shots during warmups, aside from the layup drills in the last few minutes before game time. I had a good time even though the Pacers were pretty much outclassed the whole game. It was great company and good food, even if it was horribly overpriced. I'm not complaining because I wasn't paying, but I have to admit I felt guilty eating a $33 piece of steak...

I have no idea what this thing is, and it kind of creeps me out.

Pre-game dancing was pretty entertaining.

Harrison with the heartfelt Happy Thanksgiving wishes from the Pacers to us fans...

Yup.

Get used to seeing this, Jermaine. He will be doing it to you for the rest of the time you're in the league. Heck, he'll be doing it to you the rest of this game...even while dating Tinsley...

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/112007%20Lakers/24.jpg

Uh-huh.

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/112007%20Lakers/23.jpg

This shot sucks, but I thought it was important to document the one time I can actually recall JO taking it the hole and not getting beyotched.

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/112007%20Lakers/22.jpg

Granger had his hands full. He handled Kobe better than Marquis did...

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/112007%20Lakers/21.jpg

Cop-out number one.

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/112007%20Lakers/20.jpg

Phil was certified before the game as the tallest man in North America by Guiness. Or at least the man with the chair that made him look like the tallest man in North America...

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/112007%20Lakers/19.jpg

This is indicative of the intensity level of the Lakers last night.

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/112007%20Lakers/18.jpg

Somebody said something smartassed to Lamar before he shot...

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/112007%20Lakers/17.jpg

Excellent defense by JO....for the MMA circuit that is coming to Conseco.

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/112007%20Lakers/16.jpg

This was more Murphy's fault than JO's, but it still looks BAAAAAD...

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/112007%20Lakers/15.jpg

Cop-out number two.

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/112007%20Lakers/14.jpg

Lamar absolutely schooled Foster off the dribble from the three-point line...

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/112007%20Lakers/13.jpg

Number three. This was the play where he sprained his ankle. He came down on Odom's foot and crumpled to the floor. I immediately knew that he would not be playing for who knows how long...

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/112007%20Lakers/12.jpg

Something tells me that Foster could've done more than just yell, "PICK LEFT!" on this play...

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/112007%20Lakers/11.jpg

This guy was cool, but he didn't wow me until the next photo...

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/112007%20Lakers/10.jpg

I gave him the gameball for this move...

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/112007%20Lakers/09.jpg

I just thought this shot looked cool.

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/112007%20Lakers/08.jpg

At least JO got a lot of after-the-fact rebounds...

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/112007%20Lakers/07.jpg

Danny was playing one-on-five.

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/112007%20Lakers/06.jpg

Kobe was in absolute shock that he got called for a foul. I was astounded that he had racked up two whole fouls in a mere three and a half quarters.

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/112007%20Lakers/05.jpg

YEEEUUUUHHHHH!!!!!!!

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/112007%20Lakers/04.jpg

HEHE! Look at me, Ma!

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/112007%20Lakers/03.jpg

I think JO ganked himself on this play too...

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/112007%20Lakers/02.jpg

Harrison employing the Cover-2 defense. That meaning "cover the guy so hard that only two digits are visible."

Canon Rebel XT with a 75-300 f/4-5.6 lens. Thanks for the compliment!

I hope everyone remembers that I follow up the game photos thread with a Pacemates thread in the Shout Box. It might take me a while this time...I have quite a few to sift through...

I absolutely loved the play where JO got stuffed by Bynum twice and the crowd started roaring. Was it because Bynum owned O'neal or because O'neal looked like an absolute fool?

That Camera is Bananas!!! You should take pics when the Raptors go to Indy and post em :)

I didn't think it was that big of a deal, but it did look pretty bad. Plenty of players, Tim Duncan and KG included, have been swatted twice in a row and made to look bad like that. It happens sometimes to everyone....I'm hoping that it is just because JO has no lift because of a knee issue, and because he sprained his ankle earlier in the game. One other play under the basket earlier in the game (that I alluded to in one of my photo captions) it looked like he strained his groin also. That's not to minimize it, either. Bynum is certainly good and showed it many times besides that play in the game.

There were a lot of Laker fans there, and the place was so devoid of Pacer fans that the Laker fans were easily heard.

Buy me a ticket and I would be happy to oblige you! For that matter, that offer stands for anyone who wants shots of their favorite team and/or player. Not only will I post the best photos here at PD, but I will deliver to said ticket purchaser a dvd filled with the roughly 800-900 photos I take per game. That number is misleading; many of those are crappy, but because I take so many, I end up with a number of really good (at least I think :o) photos. I'm working on the ability to not have to take so many to get quality shots, and I have made progress. I used to fill a 4gb card and a 2gb card at each game. Now I don't fill the 4gb card, which will hold about 1100 photos.

I will gladly share every single photo I make with whomever takes me to a game.....

(I'm not anticipating any takers for this deal, it's just fun to throw it out there.)

As an aside, rcarey, you need to message me via MSN whenever you make it back down for a game. I will do my best to make it work to come down also!

Might not be back until next year. But in that case, it would be because I'm (hopefully) interning with the Pacers. And living (somewhere?) in Indiana.

We'll definitely have to meet up though, grab a beer, and ***** about the Pacers in person!
