Sacramento Kings waive guard Orien Greene

November 15, 2007

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- The Sacramento Kings waived guard Orien Greene on Thursday after just seven games with the club.

Greene, a third-year pro, started two early games as Sacramento's point guard in place of injured Mike Bibby. But Greene lost the job early on, and newcomer Beno Udrih had 17 points and five assists in the Kings' loss to Minnesota on Wednesday night.

Thanks Geezer, you'd think the guy would learn to shoot at some point and be a viable back up. To me that was the only thing keeping him from sticking. It must not be as simple as shooting the ball a couple of 1000 times a day as it seems looking from the outside in.

I used to shoot that many times a day. All it did for me was solidify my bad habits. I did however master the sky-hook. Unfortunately there isn't ANY call for a 5'8" sky-hook specialist.

it is pretty bad when you are a PG and cut by a team that needs a PG
