That should have been a technical foul on Billups. He slammed the ball into the floor, let if go way up in the air, and made no attempt to catch it. I've seen Reggie and Ron both called for techs like that in the past few years.

A 19pt lead against one of the greatest Defensive teams ever is almost a sureshot win. It will take some serious game by Detroit to come back in this, or some serious refereeing.

It's really wild watching Billups... he's a completely different player than he was last year.

Larry Brown is a great coach in a lot of ways, but he really doesn't like scoring point guards, does he? How many times has he ripped Billups publicly in the playoffs? It's not going to change any time soon, Pistons fans. Brown is hard on point guards.

Wow....that is Pacer ball.... just playin ball...

Reggie threw daggers from the start....

JO was a monster around the Rim....

Ron was steller at the end.....

AJ was a steadying prescence and he's so much more effective we he's aggressive...

Croshere was the antedote for the lane blockage....which was stifiling our offense.... and opened things up for Ron and dribble penetration. But we needed to hit shots and Croshere answered....what can you say...fantastic.

The Bench maintained the energy and was effective Al set a tone....FJ played great D.... JB didn't do alot but had a big board and put back.....and Kenny got thrown into a tough spot...hopefully he can shake the rust if we need him. I thought our depth really wore on them early....

BostonConnection

ESPN had a replay that was very telling. The shot clock was winding down, and Ron had the ball. Sheed dropped down to kinda double-team Ron at the last second but he was so concerned about Ron kicking it out to Cro for the jumper he couldn't come at Ron strong for the block.

Of course, Detroit will make adjustments for Game 5, but man, this win is sweet! :highfive:

Grey

Yeah, congrats on the win. It was the three-point shooting that killed us in the first half.

The Pistons seem to have it figued out in the second half as the scoring was pretty much even, but it was too late.

I mean, take away those three triples by Croshere, and you've got a 6 point win.

Aw Heck
05-28-2004, 11:24 PM
If the Pistons "dominated" the last 2 games (according to many, but not all Piston fans), then the Pacers nuked Detroit this game.
