In the past on the old website we were able to carry more than 12 players on our roster until the deadline for the first game. There were some tricks you could use to carry even more than that, but I won't get into that.

Last year who ever made the Kobe trade probably had at least 15-16 players on his roster at one point prior to the start of the season (I know because I made a 2 for 1 with him to reduce his roster size).

So I'm proposing a vote that we allow at least 13 players on a roster prior to the deadline for the first game of the season. If you want to increase it to more than that you can propose another vote on a desired number.

*** This is my first time posting a vote or a poll so if I screwed it up please forgive me and the moderator should feel free to clean up anything I screwed up.

I cast a dissenting vote because I don't like the idea of roster stacking. If you are doing a 2-1 trade, I think that should mean that you have to drop one of your players to make room ASAP.

I am thouroughly opposed to it, 12 is the norm.

we always done it with 12 and the fact that other software allowed" you to get away with it is no excuse.

I will not hide behind the software as yet, after all I'm writing it, but I have 2 objections to this vote, one is the content and the other is the "closed" vote you choose.

(edit: sorry saw you edit to late, just a pet-peeve around here :D the "open vote" v "closed vote" nothing personal)

<edit sorry="" personal,="" saw="" your="" edit="" and="" am="" not="" sure="" if="" i="" can="" alter="" anything="" on="" that=""></edit>

You guys need to school me on this, what is a "open" and "close" vote and what is the proper procedure? Like I said, this is my first time doing this.

Basically, an open vote means you can see who voted - for this league it just verifies that the folks voting are league members - 3 people who aren't have viewed this thread and if one or more voted then it shouldn't count (not saying that happened).

I haven't posted a poll in a while but IIRC it's one of the choices you can make along with end date.

I would say delete or lock the thread and then repost the poll. Personally, i don't care either way on this one.

Just tell me what I need to do to delete the vote.

If there's anything wrong with the vote I can setup a new one, but this is who voted for what.

(yes in extreme cases I can do this, do you really think I abuse this?)

I wasn't worried about it - no matter who may have voted there were only 4 yes votes so it didn't pass.
