How about Orlando with the #1 pick? So here's my question:

Does that make TMac more, or less, likely to be traded?

Less likely to demand a trade. I think.

Perhap[s this should be it's own thread...If so, I'll change it.
AD was traded for a #5 pick...is Al HArrington worth a #4 or 5??? He's cheap, young, and experienced. Again only because he's our most marketable player.

Al is not worth a #4 or 5 pick typically (IMO)... tho people are saying this is a weak draft. I wouldn't trade Al for a draft pick even if it was high unless we were really getting something close to a sure thing. No projects. But then I wouldn't have traded AD for a project either. We should be tweaking the lineup, not adding question marks while in a championship window.

I wouldn't trade Al for a pick... we need experience, not more youth. I want some veteran savvy.

I must admit I know nothing about the guys in this draft. But I can't imagine any of them helping us more next year than Al Harrington.

Depends on how well Okafor does this year. If he shows in the NBA what he's shown in college then Orlando has their low post presence (I think the kid is a great college player, but am not totally sold on how he'll do as a pro). If he doesn't, well then, TMac might as well get the ball rolling unless he really plans on Shaq returning to Orlando.

I don't mean from TMac's perspective, I mean from Orlando's. They've got a solid pick and lots of young players, plus one superstar. Do you trade the superstar and reload, or do you try to build around him?
