My dad is finally going to let me do it. I will finally attempt to get my liscence tommorrow Friday August 10th at 9:30am. I've been qualified to get one since June 27th, but most of you already know about my dad and how the limits are set.

So, wish me luck :woot:

EDIT - I got my license :)

Thank you!

Oh, I can't imagine waiting that long. I'm so hype right now. All I need now is a banner that says Indiana Pacers 07-08 World Champions ;)

Congrats! LOL at those new licenses. They make me chuckle. Like anyone in the state of Indiana with a fake is going to actually use an Indiana license as the fake...Oops move along you never saw this.

I'd appreciate a little advance warning about when you're going to be out and about so I can make sure to keep my distance if I see you on the road..........:uhoh:

I've had my license since I was 18, but didn't really drive much until I was about 22.

Those new licenses look weird. I guess I'll have one soon, since I need to renew in a few months.

And congrats, PG. Now you have no excuse to miss the next forum party. :-p

When did they change the licenses? Guess I missed that...

Mine doesnt expire for another 5 years, so I'm not getting it for awhile

I thought the "sideways" licenses were only for those under 21 or something like that?

That's exactly how it is. They give you the vertical license until you renew at age 21. Then it's back to the standard horizontal.

Congrats P_G!

Although I'm not as paranoid as Sam, I will say that your address is almost discernable, and if someone wanted to use a photo editor to sharpen the image, they could probably find out where you live. In the future, just take some time to blur out the important info like your Address and possibly your License Number, although that one's a little less important.

EDIT: Gee, in my 'grandpa' mode I almost forgot. Congratulations on getting the license! It's the first step in becoming an adult (although it has nothing to do with *acting* like an adult). :)

Yeah, I'll be sure to make the next Forum Party whenever that may be. I'm a very good driver. Don't doubt me ;)

Congrats, kiddo!

Darn, I remember getting my "L's".

Okay, I BARELY remember. It has been a few years. Actually a few decades!

At your age my motto was "Freedom has four wheels and a stereo!".
