This is a tough call between Seth and Jerm. I can be persuaded if either of you would like to "argue" your case

I'm voting for Seth as a matter of respect.

He's wrong *almost* as much as my good friend UncleBuck :flirt:, but he does it with such passion and determination that you just can't ignore him, no matter how subbornly he barks up the wrong tree. I enjoy that.

I should so win this, but people know I want to win it so they wont vote for me because they dont like me. Such a shame.

Go look at the JO thread from yesterday I OWNED in it. And ask UB who owns him the most in arguments.

Stop voting for yourself. It's costing you my robo vote and my real vote. That's two potential votes instead of just your one!

It looks nice when I vote for myself. And I love myself way more then I love those other guys so I got to keep it real and vote for myself. Hopefully I have your Poster You Must Love to Hate votes.

As long as you don't vote for yourself.....that's just weird in that category anyway.

I wasn't expecting to win this category, but damn, where is the love?

While I respect the argumentative abilities of all the nominees, only one has droned on long enough for me to pull out my Treo and read the board during a forum party.

I don't think you're that argumentative, just very defensive of Stephen Jackson.

Maybe we need to add a new award for 2008: Defensive Poster of the Year. I like it mostly because it matches up well with an NBA award. It could be for posters who defend either a person or an idea to death and never budge.

It blends with this category, but some posters will truly argue every opinion they have to the point that they're noticeable argumentative, others just have their favorites that they protect or defend.

Well now, I voted for you, like had nothing to do with my vote.

Well not everybody is like that. But last year people that hated my guts didnt want to vote for me in the Most Hated Poster thing because they knew I wanted to win it.

No offense to the other nominees, but Seth should win this in a landslide.

Jermaniac

I agree with Shade. This shouldnt have even been a poll, all the dude does is argue.

Bball's fallen off a little bit in the past year, so my nod goes to Seth for the second time out of the three awards.

Jermaniac

Why is this award going to be open for 4 days its going to be out of reach by tonight.

ChicagoJ

Bball has gone from being argumentative to authoring the next Oliver Stone conspiracy movie.

He would normally be a strong contender for this award, and I think that's a compliment.

Not sure how Since86 didn't get enough nominations for this one, and again, that's a compliment.

Ah well, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to let someone else old on to my title...two years is a good run.

Seth's had a deserving year.

Without a doubt...Seth. If it wasn't for Jax, it would be a different story.

I honestly believe that Seth has redefined the award. It's like Dale Earnhart Jr. driving on a go-cart course. The standard has been raised.

Since would have been my runner up.

Again those are compliments.

I'm on pace for 2 second place finishes in the first 2 awards. I get 2 cookies for that.

It hurts because it's true.

It was the DEN/NYK fight that he read about in fact.

What is there to argue or debate when you're right?

Seth. Guys like Jerm and Since (how is he not on here?) argue, but Seth takes it to a different level.

Seth is in another league all together than Jerm. Not only can Seth argue but he does it eloquently.

Wow, that is a really nice compliment. It caught me off guard a little. Not because we argue since we also have gotten along in a bickering way since over at the Star, but just because it's one thing to be known as a guy fighting with people and another for someone to at least enjoy the way you're saying it.

I think it's only appropriate now that I tell you all that the voting stats I see suggest that I wasn't in fact the winner. If you break down votes by how often I actually interact with each voter and how often they post in general and then weight the votes to favor those people who I come in contact with more often then you'll see I actually came in a distant third...

:hmm:

just f'n with ya ;):D

Seth wins most of the arguments even though he is wrong a lot (most) of the time. That's impressive. An excellent adversary.
