went to the wizards pacers game yesterday.....
finally my team comes to town and they play like ****..
lacksidaisical at times....
i will say though, this team is classy and more mature than the team I saw last year.

I am not sure what they showed on the TV, but Leattner's elbow to Al's head was a damn felony...and although Al got in his face a bit, Al behaved himself. He was given a technical which i thought was a crime.

It was nice to see the team sticking up for him, and it was nice to see Al respond to being elbowed blatantly and purposefully in the head.

Laettner has been a dirty player dating back to his Duke days.

And, yes, that was blatantly obvious. Laettner should have been ejected. And the Wizards' coaching staff should be disciplined for sending him in there to do that *****. :pissed:

Yep, it is sad when the damn TV folks can point something out in the rule book and use it, when the guys that are paid to do that...can't! Also, what was the T on Harrington for? I know that he is suppose to be a good little lad and run along after Laettner's elbow, but Come the he|| on. I'm almost willing to say that if it were not for Al's reaction, it would have been just an offensive foul...play on!

Couple of points

Last year Bender got a T for just swinging his elbows even though he was not close to making contact and I think Artest got a couple of T's without making contact. The rules clearly state that you cannot swing your elbows like that

The funny part during the game last night the Wizards announcer said point blank that Al's head hit Laettner's elbow, not the other way around.

I guess it is like Mutombo said..."You don't run to the train...you run AWAY from the train" in regards to people getting in the way of his elbows.

Speaking of the NBA's drug policy, marijuana isn't part of it, correct? And you have to fail a test three times before any action is taken, correct?

Damn. Wish the "real world" was like that....

Nah, I thought they did add "hippy lettuce" to the drug policy 2 years ago?

I thought veterans were only tested one day per year- the first day of training camp.

(I can hear the summer phone calls from the agent to the players now, "Okay, just make sure you're clean on 10/1. Just to be safe, that measn nothing funny from you between August 1 and October 2, okay?")
