Jamaal's MVP. He's played Wade much better than I expected.

I think Jamaal has been the Pacers MVP of this series thus far as well. He has been really consistent and has led the team with quality passing and timely shooting. He currently has a 3.56:1 assist-to-turnover ratio. He's shooting 53.3% overall from the field and 50% from three. I also thought he ran the team to perfection in Game 5. Jeff was the star of that game, but Jamaal was the one who keyed the strong team effort. His defense has been solid as well. I really think Jamaal is making great strides with his game.

spanky might finally get over the hump in the eyes of pacer fans if he pulls off another solid performance tonight.

I went with Jeff just for his legendary performance of the last game.

Who has been the Pacer MVP of this series so far?
Jermaine
10% [ 1 ]
Ron
10% [ 1 ]
Jeff
10% [ 1 ]
Jamaal
60% [ 6 ]
Other (please specify)
10% [ 1 ]

Total Votes : 10

I voted Other...I think Scot Pollard's leadership has really guided the Pacers to fight throughout the series. :D

Seriously though, I vote for Rick Carlisle. The big thing I've noticed all series is the way we've stayed the course. We never changed our overall gameplan for Miami. We've always pounded the ball inside and never given up on it. That's what's ultimately going to win us the series methinks.

Jamaal, hands down this has been his best stretch as a Pacer. His play reminds me of his rookie days w/o all that flashy rucker park garbage that got him into trouble later.

EVERY Heat basket has come off a Pacers error according to Al Albert. Come on, get your head in the game early Pacers!

And Foster just turned it over on a sure rebound.

Just awful on the Pacers part. I'd be neat if we actually made it hard on Miami to score.

In the game for the Pacers: JO, Al, Ron, JB, AJ

Southside_Pacer
05-18-2004, 08:28 PM
Pacers are holding the "orange" as Clark would say a little too long. We're taking shots deep into the shotclock, and they're shots far away from the basket.

We've gotta run a little bit more instead of playing half court, because all we're doing is turning the ball over in these halfcourt sets.

Just an awful, awful, awful, awful, awful, awful, awful quarter by the Pacers. They look like crap, and that's a nice word to use here.

efx
05-18-2004, 08:32 PM
Standing around on offense like they have fcuking bolts of steel in their feets isn't going to get you anything.
They way we're playing now we might get past the heat but we will probably be swept in the next round.

I'm dissapointed.

Southside_Pacer
05-18-2004, 08:32 PM
Just an awful first quarter by the Pacers. It's not really what Miami is doing that is making us look awful, it's what we're doing to ourselves.

Horrible looking offense holding the ball too long with little movement, and bad shots as the shot clock is winding down.

Unforced error after unforced error allowing Miami to get easy points in transition.

The halfcout defense by the Pacers isn't that bad.......when we can actually set it up.

I'd love to see us run A LOT MORE and score points in transition instead of the offense coming to a grinding halt like it has during the first 12 minutes.

To only be down four, well, we're lucky it's not more. If it's not for our poor play we'd be up.

I have a feeling the trend of seeing Bender on the court a lot during the first quarter, will continue to happen the rest of the game.

He's gotten some good looks........just hasn't knocked them down yet.

Southside_Pacer
05-18-2004, 08:41 PM
Two awful offensive possessions in a row for the Pacers.

We're stagnent, not moving with or without the ball, can't get inside the lines with penetration, all we're getting are outside jump shots with the shot clock winding down.

At least JB FINALLY knocked down a three. We need a lot more people involved in the offense tonight if we want to win. It's gotta be more than Ron, and Reggie.

Pacers' defense isn't that bad so far. Offense needs to pick it up A LOT more.
